i really dig this randomly off-model dream in the sandman, like ah yes, the lead singer of indochine

190

thank you ! i was really unsatisfied with it when i originally made it but now i find a certain charm in it !

030

no worries ! i know it's kind of a pain for a lot of stuff especially small-scale indies

no sweat if you don't replace it btw, i don't mind it too much. just was funny to see the orange on the main character instead of the purple and be like "wait i recognize this"

100

aw damn that sucks, i thought the official art wasn't too hard to get, the devs have a press kit available iirc. though i'm a little unsurprised, the same thing happened to my planet laika thumbnail a few months ago since it was composited from many pieces of official art too 😭

recognizing my thumbnail as the preview for 24killers instead of the official art noooooOOOO... it's not official art it's just the official renders that i blasted with different colouuuuurs

people will say "did you know the creator of ... has a weird fetish" as if anything other than a weird fetish could possibly compel you to suffer through the creative process

i have a certain fondness for this one solely because it kinda hits it out of the gate. the sequel (and prequel) didn't do much to really evolve the format and then the 2021 japan-only reboot felt also way too safe lmao

for some reason it reminds me a lot of killer7 ! like kaede and her gun :0

020

incredibly real and defo not biased by my team having alakazam as main psychic user (second place goes to gengar with tm's)

imo that's always been my favourite way of playing, catching the ones i want on my team and then just blasting my way through every encounter

120

i bring a "no game is too hard if you put your mind to it" vibe that gets me killed on the spot on the internet

yeeeeeEEEEES !!! i'm so glad you're reading it !

thank you clive barker, you are my man

i don't remember the website but if you're trying to give faux-vhs overlayps, ntscQT works wonders !

040

there's a bit in the Q&A where they ask him if he'd open a website for fans and the response being something along the lines of "i don't wanna care too much about people who aren't in my real life" might sound harsh but fuck is it true

just finished reading it because i'm a gluttonous ingrate and yeah that was amazing. especially loved the short story "sunflower" at the end

it's pisses me off so bad because while i understand the sentiment (there's a ton of good stuff in every era) it's so bleak to just sequester ourselves in that. same for the folks who go "idc about mainstream games so if the industry crashes it's whatever" as if that wouldn't affect indies too

real heavy, very ugly but that's the nature of it. after years of making the same thing you grow jaded, cynical, your vision blurs in the edges of what could've been, of what you think you're capable of. the time passes, you just keep getting older, your legs are stiff but you keep on moving

if you make any kind of art, you have to read DOWNFALL

i had to go get my laptop repaired recently and it cost me £230. i'm fine but it was a real "ooou yeeouch!!" kind of cost that ate up like a quarter of my bank. basically this is not at all Urgent but it does feel like a good time to be like "oh yeah i have a ko-fi btw".

yeah it's tough not to fall into a weird slump after finishing something you poured so much of yourself into. hope you'll enjoy the read !

downfall by inio asano ! semi-autobiographical (or at the very least it feels very likely) story about a mangaka who struggles mentally after finishing a long series. it's kinda miserable (so far) but it resonates with me in a way that little else does

130

stopping my read halfway through for tonight because i want to have a good night lmao. it's good but the first chapter hurts really REALLY bad as someone who creates stuff and struggles with the feelings associated with the act. idk, many thoughts !

2210

yes that one looks so cool ! always loved the spritework despite never having played it

only two episodes in but i really like it so far, a lot of the tracks have this evergrace-ian quality to them it's kinda nuts
