Really excited to unveil my charm design for @frankenzine.bsky.social! I thought that Victor's angel statue really lent itself well to a double sided design. I'm so excited for this zine, all the art in it looks amazing and I know everyone worked really hard to put it together.

You successfully purchasing Shortbox Comic Fair comics before the end of the fair vs you missing out on comics because you didn't realize the deadline is 8 PM UK time, aka in an hour and a half

A fun peek into the comic process: I thumbed a bunch of different cover options and forced everyone I know to vote on their favorite. Luckily there was a clear winner but this one came in second so I thought I would make it real!

One final character introduction (who I don't think I've actually posted anywhere): Samara, a captain of the royal guard originally charged with protecting the crown prince

CHARACTER INTRODUCTION: Lira! The Crown Prince who was banished “under mysterious circumstances”. Its a little hard to tell what he is thinking.

A series of comic panels and text that says:
Prince Lira
- Crown prince who was banished “under mysterious circumstances”
- His motivations are difficult to discern (possibly to himself as well)
- Jackalope thinks he is kind
- Likes bossing people around
- Name inspiration: three way pun between lyre (and another word that is similar), King Lear and Lira as a form of currency

CHARACTER INTRODUCTION: JACKALOPE A young bard turned jester (turned ???). He is loyal to a fault and has to believe every situation has a happy ending. Despite (or maybe because) of this, he is constantly experiencing The Horrors.

Hi! I'm excited to reveal the cover for my horror comic INJEST debuting next month at @shortboxcomicsfair.bsky.social: After the crown prince is banished under mysterious circumstances, loyal court jester Jackalope journeys to find him only to discover he may have bitten off more than he can chew.

A drawing of a court jester from the back. He is holding a sword with a blade that reflects another character's face. The blade is slightly bloody. On the jester's cloak there is a wolf chasing a jackalope and a castle tower. The drawing is labeled INJEST, a comic by mapurl.
