![A recreation of a scene from Chapter 1 of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, featuring my player character, an Eevee named Green [She/They], and their soon-to-be adventuring partner, a Shinx named Twist [She/Her - PMD Sky sets the Shinx partner to male when you play as a girl, but I'm choosing to ignore this for storytelling].
Twist has place a shard of stone, which carries a peculiar pattern emblazoned on it, in front of herself and Green. The Shinx timidly explains how she came to have it, what it means to her, and why it was so important that she get it back when it was stolen. Green, a bit aloof and emotionally skeptical, looks at it with a cocked brow and listens to this new buddy spill her life story almost unprompted.
Green has a sneaking suspicion she knows what Twist is gonna ask next...trouble is, this girl seems like a bit of a liability to go places with.
...she's kinda cute tho](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:rp7wodj27jnulv4b7rlwsibv/bafkreibqvq44lnusrto7eq6xkt3f33dc5qrnjjkcuv5v5r3ii2arzdr4yi)
![A non-partitioned comic depicting a verbal scuffle between princes of rivaling principalities.
[PANEL 1] Hase, a gray-furred lop-eared rabbit butts heads with Maddie, a white-furred squirrel-rabbit hybrid, each of which banters aggressively with the other in their own languages.
"Für wen hältst du dich?", says Hase, which translates to "Who do you think you are?"
"Ferme-la, lapin, tu ne sais rien!", replies Maddie, which translates "Shut it, rabbit, you don't know anything!"
Hase points at Maddie while holding a magic staff of sorts, as Maddie crosses their arms in defiance.
[PANEL 2] Suddenly, the magic staff in Hase's hand begins to glow, catching the attention of both princes...
"Moment mal...", mutters Hase, which translates to "Wait a second..."
"C'était quoi, ça?" protests Maddie, translating to "What was that?"
*KA-SMUSH*! An onomatopoeic cloud of magic smoke separates the first two panels from the third, indicating a strange occurrence to have taken place...
[PANEL 3] Prince Alsace, a squirrel-rabbit hybrid (predominantly rabbit, aside from the bushy tail) emerges from the magic spell. Clad in magenta garments and a cape, wielding the magic staff with confidence, and sporting heterochromia eyes of red and blue as well as tall ears that lop halfway, this princely rabbit is the fusion of Hase and Maddie. Their fur and hair share colors and patterns that mix the two together into a medium, and the staff they wield glows a reddish magenta as well.
"Oh hush, you two~" They say gaudily, happy to have put aside the boorish bickering of those two buffoon princes~](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:rp7wodj27jnulv4b7rlwsibv/bafkreihvgncj5gbm62ywwkv2m34essytvisdatjg6uazodrrvpyw6z6iwe)
![Rey, an anthropomorphic...uh, checks notes, squirrel, at least for now...leans up against a massive coffee mug, as tall as himself. Carrying on a bit from a previous doodle, the mug vertically reads "WORLD'S MOST" followed by an absolute litany of different creatures, all of which are struck through:
BUNNY
SQUIRREL
LUCARIO
MOTHBUNNY
SHEEP
PROTOGEN
SEA OTTER
MOUSE
MOOGLE
SYLVEON(?)
DIFFERENT SHEEP
DOG (GENIE)
SNUPPY
MEW
SCUG
HUMAN [this one in particular has two Xs on either side with an arrow pointed to it labeled "NO"]
DRAGON
And finally, at the bottom, is written "SQUIRREL (AGAIN)" with no strikethrough.
I was provided a list of forms to include on this by Rey. I'm not sure if I even covered half of that list.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:rp7wodj27jnulv4b7rlwsibv/bafkreifcam7yu67drcdycbxxpuc65xqefr5hpdnxsog3wdy6f2ctyd6o3q)
