The important thing in any argument is understanding what you're saying and arguing in good faith IN THIS INSTANCE, DISCORD WAS NOT TO BLAME A completely separate, third party service was hacked, not discord. This particular case is not connected to discord and age verification.

If you are still on X/Twitter in any capacity as an artist, get off there right freaking now.

very good tumblr post about why to make a fursona, and in the replies, a couple followups on how to make a fursona

A Tumblr post by user taffywabbit. The entire text is as follows:

I think more people should make fursonas and I'm dead serious. the process of self-exploration that naturally comes along with creating a funny little critter to represent yourself is SO valuable, as you consider the types of animals you vibe with and what kind of aesthetic/colours/personality/etc suit you and stuff like that (fun fact this process is how I figured out I was transgender lol. not saying that will happen to you but just proving that you can learn a LOT about yourself through this design process and any subsequent design changes)

and then when you're all done, you have a little freak you can do whatever you want with! edit them poorly into memes, commission lavish oil paintings of them to hang in your mansion, use them as a personal online mascot, design a fucked up evil twin for them to fight, soak them in milk and throw them at the wall, anything really. same stuff some people do with fandom characters they really like, except it's 100% yours and nobody can tell you you're doing it wrong! also now you have an animal your friends can associate with you and they'll send you funny pics/videos of that animal that make them think of you. literally it's just wins all the way down for you and everybody you associate with. everyone should have one of these things!!

True story.

Seven-panel comic depicting me toiling away at the difficult task of drawing comics, considering quitting, and a rather conveniently received email from a 5th grader that encouraged me to continue.

Comics can be hard work, often with setbacks and challenges, but the inspiration they might give to others can make all the toil worth it.

MINORS DNI To all legal adults who wonder why they don't see here their suggestive/NSFW artists from Twitter, you may have to follow an additional step in your filters. For some reason Bsky separated illustrated erotic from "Adult content" and put it in a completely different place.

I hope BlueSky grows more and becomes better than "x". Elon just has very dumb ideas for the platform and way too many drastic changes.
