Since the Blue Jays didn’t make the postseason, I’m going to support the Milwaukee Brewers in October. I like their underdog quality, the history of the city, and they have a fantastic logo. #MLB

Since I won’t be finishing any book tonight. Here is my September.

Since my favourite coffee shop in Old Montréal, Bar à Beurre, will soon be moving (😭), I’m trying out alternatives. I’ve been to Le Terminus a few times and quite enjoyed the experience. Quiet, clean, with nice staff and good coffee. I’ll have to give the pastries and food a try, but they look good.

I’ll now read “Polaris” by Jack McDevitt. To a) give him a second chance; b) in preparation of reading *Seeker*, the Nebula winner.

“Absolute Batman, Vol. 2: Abomination” by Scott Snyder. Brutal, uncompromising, original. My kind of Batman. It’s relentless and yet well structured, with many callbacks to older comics and Easter Eggs. Really great. 5/5.

A couple of recent reads on my part. “A Talent for War” by Jack McDevitt. An interesting premise, but very uneven execution and dated gender politics. Quite boring at times. The third act is fine. 2.5/5. #book #scifi

Who’s your favourite F1 team and why? For me it’s Williams. It’s the team of my childhood (Mansell, Prost, Hill and Villeneuve becoming champions) and I’ve always liked their fighting spirit and élan. #F1 #Williams #FormulaOne

I'm always amazed by how remarkable and influential Jean-Claude Mezières' art is. These are from "Métal Hurlant" #7, 1976, a series called "Baroudeur de l'espace" ("The Space Adventurer"). I'm sure you can all think of many movies or TV shows who "borrowed" from these. #comics #BD #Art #scifi

In February, there are the Olympic Games and the launch of Artemis II. It reminds us that humans are capable of other things than stupidity or bullying. It's refreshing. #toughtoftheday #Sundaymorning

I am personally rooting for Lando. He’s been part of the McLaren outfit for so long, he’s a big reason why the team is where it is now. All three are great and deserving drivers, but I think this year, Lando deserves it a little more. #F1 #McLaren #TeamLando

Buying the new Blu Ray disk would have cost me $45… quality is 98% the same thing, as Apple’s compression is extremely good and I have good broadband. As for the argument that you do not own the movies, I say this. True, but I have yet to lose one in over 15 years of buying from iTunes.

One advantage of buying movies digital: free upgrades! If you buy a movie in HD, you get the 4K version for free upon release. No need to buy the movie twice. A very nice perk. Happens with movies I bought years ago, nice! #movies #4K #OneFlewOvertheCuckoo’sNest

I maintain that season 1 of Doom Patrol is one of the best TV shows I’ve ever seen. Episodes like “Danny Patrol” (E8) are masterpieces. Some of the best TV coming from this left field DC comic. It praises diversity, friendship, love, tolerance and having the guts to push for these ideals. Love it.

Bought four more shelves for my Billy bookcases. Did some reorganizing, putting the bigger hardcover and tall paperbacks at the top, then all the rest after. Still got good space to grow (around 90-100 books worth of shelf space). Pretty neat I think. #shelfie #books #buymorebooks
