Cultural Christianity (mainly Southern states where "religion" is based on inherited cultural ideas and is restricted to the tribe and Theological Christians (those who follow Jesus' teachings) -completely different. I have lived 35 years in the south and the north and this explains A LOT to me.

I use the French Sentence Builder series as a base but recently have done some "filler" lessons of my own with real-life, think on your feet, real-life situations and my students actually ask for "more like those!" You know it hits home when they ask for more. Merci.

From personal experience, schools in the Deep South are guilty of intellectual incest. Teachers are born and raised here and pass on their racist ideas to students, and those students become teachers who do the same until that racism becomes part of the curriculum.
