The tragedy in Nepal reflects the consequences of continued greenhouse gas emissions and its accumulation in the atmosphere. As global warming reaches the 1.5°C limit set by the #ParisAgreement, the risks of such extreme events becoming more frequent and intense will continue to grow.

Despite limited resources, many LDCs have submitted ambitious NDCs, informed by 1.5°C pathways—most w/ partial costing &dependent on international support. Implementation is a top priority.
