I've had to unfriend a few fans lately, all for the same reason. They made ridiculing, unkind, and in some cases outright cruel comments about pictures I posted of young women cosplaying Jessica.
More than a person, Jessica is a state of mind. To play Jessica, you need self -confidence, a sense of humor, and a Jessican -attitude-. There is no such thing as a Jessica cosplayer being too short, too flat chested, too heavy, too thin, too unattractive, too black, too Asian, or even too male!!! All Jessica, any Jessica, every Jessica is good Jessica.
I'm not giving any warnings or second chances. A single disparaging comment on a Jessica cosplayer, and I'm throwing you out of the rainbow colored Toontown Tent.

We were gifted a 3d printer a few years back and finally made space to get it set up and like...the absolute headache of figuring out how to get it to actually print something is exhausting. Videos aren't actuslly helpful and without any frame of reference I can't tell what is a correct adjustment 🫠

I have to constantly remind myself, especially when drawing, that art should be fun. It is play. It doesn't have to be something I'll do something with. The act of creating is the whole point, and sharing "bad art" is just as important as sharing the mediums I'm good at. So for now, a silly lady.

We just found out Copic discontinued the nibs for Aaron's favorite multiliners like 5yrs ago and he just ran out of his replacements. We have never found pens that worked as well with alcohol ink. I wish art supply stores would prioritize quality and reusability over cutting financial corners

Crochet is not an artform that can be machine made, so when people mass buy on sites like T*mu to resell in dealer rooms, there was someone getting paid pennies to make those items. It wasn't until adulthood that we realized 1: I have asthma and 2: it was probably caused by growing up in constant cigarette smoke. I'm genuinely thankful there are adults now who never knew unregulated smoking. Good example of how awful things can be fixed.
