![A Wikipedia entry for Riot dog stating "A riot dog is a stray dog that accompanies street protesters. The term originated during the 2008 Greek riots when a number of stray dogs remained among the protesters even when violent rioting broke out.[1][2][3] A few riot dogs have acquired a large following of fans around the world such as the Greek Loukanikos[4][5][6] and Negro Matapacos in Chile." Followed by a picture of 2 riot dogs at a protest in 2012.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:ra6tcyvbtuk75rqxoowjxfft/bafkreibxzho2cerv6rbrnybzhbm4x5la42bcg3syw7zwgemg77lsk2ek5m)
