Widgets would be cool! I'm soon done with the next release so I'll start planning out future releases after that, maybe widgets will get on there but we'll have to see 😊 Adding to playlists have been fixed in the upcoming version, so it should the not to distant future I hope 🤞

I don't think it's possible for Alexa to integrate with the Siri that way, so I don't think that's possible.

I really want to make a watchOS version, but right now I have some other things I need to get done first 😅

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 24/01/2026

Yes, it caches songs you've played so if you were to play them again you wouldn't have to use data for it. You can clear it in Settings -> Offline. 😊

Glad to hear you like it! 🙌 No immediate plans, I'm planning on trying to do a rework of download management on iOS next, but I like the idea of the mini player so I'll make a note of it and might consider it in the future 😊

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 10/01/2026

Hiya 👋 there is currently no lifetime option, but the subscription is optional and you can get lots of use out of the app even without one 😊

000

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 07/01/2026

Hiya! You can set "Download quality" in the Media quality settings, and that's what it'll use for downloads. So if your media doesn't match the requirement, Manet will ask for a transcoded version when fetching it.

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 07/01/2026

Glad to hear you enjoy it, development is still under way 🎉 I left Reddit since it ended up being a place where I got stuck watching cat videos, so I've tried to step away from it. Most people find me on Bluesky/Mastodon to report things anyways, and that works better for me 😄

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 07/11/2025

Thanks for the screenshots! I think the immersive mode of the album art seems like a nice addition, I'll make some notes from these images and see if I can take some inspiration from it in the future 😄

Hiya! 👋 glad you like the app 🙌 What do you feel is missing from the current screen? Could you share some screenshots from that other app of what you like? 😊

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 10/10/2025

Oops, maybe it got lost in the latest release. I’ll take a look and see where it went, sorry about that 🙈

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

Glad you got it working! 🙌

000

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 03/10/2025

Hiya! On macOS, iOS, or both? Also, what version of the OS are you running? 😄

100

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 30/09/2025

I’m aware of issues with the version on macOS Tahoe and I’m looking into a fix. Thanks for your patience 🙏

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 26/09/2025

Sounds like a good addition, I’ll make a note of it and put into the backlog! Thanks for the suggestion 🙌

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 21/09/2025

Is CarPlay missing translations? I might’ve missed adding translation keys for that, I’ll have to double-check - thanks for letting me know! 🙏 Translations can be suggested over at crowdin.com/project/manet

Thanks a lot, I've worked really hard on the app so always happy to hear that people like it 😄 There are no plans on switching away from the subscription model.

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 18/09/2025

It depends! Manet currently doesn’t download album art for downloads, so if you don’t have an Internet connection while in the car, and haven’t view the album art in the app previously so they aren’t cached, then they’d be blank 😅 reorganizing downloads is on my todo list!

After months of improving stability of the app, the day has finally come for Manet to hit 1.0! 🎉 The update that adds support for the new iOS 26 liquid glass design, background syncing, on-device lyrics translations and an entire new layout for iPad! 🥳 #selfhosting #selfhosted #jellyfin

Manet makes it's way to 1.0 and adds native support for the iPad!

Nothing planned, and probably not very likely for a while.

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 10/08/2025

Hiya 👋 I think Spanish would be a great addition. Is that something you’d be interested in helping out with? I don’t speak Spanish 😅🙈

000

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 30/07/2025

Thank you! Glad to hear it, it’s one of my favorites too😁

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 27/07/2025

Hi 👋 the app streams FLAC when quality settings allow it and the media is in FLAC. I might look into Dolby Atmos sometime this autumn but we’ll see, lots of other things planned already 🙏

000

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 19/07/2025

That's a great suggestion! Right now I only check for lyrics when you open the Now Playing view, but would be nice to have it downloaded alongside the track. I'll add it to my backlog 🙌

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 06/07/2025

I plan on making a watchOS version down the line! 🙌

It does attach the logs when tapping ”Contact support” in settings to the email, so you could send the logs to yourself from there (I couldn’t figure out if I can open the attachment from the email composer directly 😄).

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 05/06/2025

Hi there 👋 I considered doing something like that but not all album covers work well with that layout style so for now it will probably stay as-is.

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 04/06/2025

Small update released! This one bring a button to clear all your cached songs that you’ve streamed to reclaim space on your device. We’ll also retry loading the track if your internet goes out while streaming Enjoy! 🎉 #jellyfin #selfhosted #ios tilosoftware.io/manet/releas...

Hi there! Best way would be to use the ”Contact support” option in the app since it sends alongs logs and some metadata. What format is the song? Is it downloaded? Does it happen to every song always, or just some? 🤔

000

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 26/05/2025

Apple Watch and an iPadOS layout are next on the list! I aim to have that out during 2025 at least, iPad is almost done so gonna start thinking about watchOS soon-ish. 🤞 How would you use it on Apple Watch? Mostly shuffle play playlists? 🤔

Hiya! Right now, it currently only stores in in-app so it won't be synced to the server. I think I looked into using #Jellyfin tags for this, but they are not per-user as I understand it. Any ideas of where would be a good place for it elsewhere? Maybe iCloud backups would be good for that?

Manet @manetapp.bsky.social · 09/04/2025

Thank you for the kind words! Making this app is what helped me do the same 😄 Glad to hear it helped you move to Jellyfin 🙌
