Heads up, Twin Cities: An air-quality alert for ground-level ozone is in effect Friday afternoon and evening. Unlike wildfire smoke, ozone is an odorless gas — and masks will NOT filter it out. In fact, wearing a mask can trap the gas, making breathing worse.
