I was born with lifelong birth defects like blindness (legally blind,heart problems,and now I’m getting older not knowing what else is coming because not many were born with Rubella in the 70’s

Of course I’m happy he helped pave the way for others and some people who were diagnosed in the 80’s are still alive. He must’ve had a mutation that didn’t let him live long.

I’m happy to see this but I wish my Dad got to live long enough to have a chance at a cure. He was a test case so he got experimental drugs which is partly why people live longer

I have a love/hate feeling towards this. My Dad died of AIDS in the mid 90’s but he was a test case in the 80’s/90’s which I love but I hate that he didn’t get to live long.
