They're making "large-scale dlc" for Digimon Story Time Stranger now? Can't they please just scrap that, and work on a new game instead? I'd rather see like a smaller scale game like Hacker's Memory that re-uses assets.

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 15/03/2026

Sadly yes. Though it's still possible to add "@jpg" at the end of the url of images to get jpg's, but it's annoying to have to do that. Really wish EU would push back more against the US giants so we can see better (and hopefully more open-sourced) options to stuff like this.

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 14/03/2026

Ugh, why did Bluesky have to go and downgrade images from jpg to the shitty webp format? T.T At least switch to png, or something like jpeg xl, not shitty webp.

My 2 big orders from AllTheAnime's Christmas sale finally arrived this week. :3 Hopefully I'll enjoy the stuff I haven't seen already (which is like half of it).

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 10/02/2026

Aw, why did they have to put so much crap in the Danganronpa 2x2 collector's edition? I really want that bucket hat, but it's so expensive, and I absolutely don't want the other crap. Would've been an instant purchase with just the game + bucket hat only for a cheaper price.

000

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

Oh, took them a bit too long into 2026, but Nintendo's 2025 recap is apparently finally available.

010

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

Aw, and now I discover that the High School DxD blu-rays all miss the OVA's, except for the 4th season. Man I fucking hate all anime distributors who skip the OVA releases. T.T

010

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

Even got the blu-ray release when it came out in 2014, but then I never got around to it. To think it took me 12 years after buying it to finishing it. I bought the other 3 season on blu-ray as well, so I really need to jump into them soon. Especially since I actually love the series.

000

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

Damn, I just finished watching the first season of High School DxD after starting watching it when it first came out, and apparently it's been 14 years!? I definitely put off finishing it for far too long. I originally put it on hold to wait for the uncensored blu-ray.

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

Aw, that's unfortunate. Hopefully you'll have a nice place to stay at in Japan where you can rest a bit to make up for it. Sounds like it'd probably be amazing if you could go to a hot spring after such a flight, but even if you can't I wish you a good stay there. :)

010

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

Oh, going to Japan? Lucky! Hope you'll have a great trip then!

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 31/01/2026

Yeah, I've been using LibreOffice a bit as well (both at work and at home) and some stuff is just kinda clunky in it. But being a free option, I can live with it.

010

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 31/01/2026

Yeah, it's kinda frustrating when trying out options from smaller companies, and then they don't work right, or lack basic functions and other similar issues. Would definitely love to get away from using services from big corps if it just worked well.

Yay, got the new PC today! :D Sadly it arrived so late, and as I need to go to bed soon, I've only had time to do a test start just to see that it actually started up (which it did). I'll probably just leave it be now until the weekend though, when I got more time to install and use it.

120

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 16/01/2026

Ah, I see. Well hopefully things go well, and I hope you can slack off as much as possible at least. xD

010

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 16/01/2026

Oh good then. I know some people are forced into shitty overtime without pay, and can't really just leave. But hopefully you can kinda slack a bit if it's that late at least? :p

110

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 16/01/2026

Ouch, having to work so late that it ends up ridiculously early in the morning really sucks. I do hope it can finish early and that you're allowed to leave then, so you don't need to stay so long. But if you have to stay that late, I certainly hope you're getting some good overtime pay for it.

Hmm... Will be interesting to see if I get the PC I ordered yesterday as the store shows that it's discontinued now. My order still says that it's expected in stock on Wednesday, and hasn't been cancelled or anything, but I can't help but be a bit worried.

110

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 15/01/2026

Plus, considering how much I actually use my PC, and how long a PC usually lasts, it still feels worth it.

000

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 15/01/2026

Welp, I caved and ordered a new PC. Should be getting it delivered next Thursday. It's possible that this was a bad time to order it, but seeing how the world is going to shit in so many ways, I felt it's better to get it now in case parts disappear from the market, and prices rise even more.

Bought a couple of movies recently. Might've overdone it a bit, with this pile containing 18 movies. Will be interesting to see if I find Mel Brooks The Producers funny these days, as I found it boring as hell as a kid.

000

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 04/01/2026

Ah, I definitely get not having that much time to game if your working on a game at the same time as having a full time job. I had never heard of that game before. It looks kinda fun. Might give it a shot some time. Reminds me a bit of Turret Girls that I recently bought, but more 90's themed.

010

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 04/01/2026

Hmm... I wish I could say Digimon Story Time Stranger, but I just have to give it to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I loved the gameplay and music. And the story was great until the last part. While I've barely gotten anywhere in Digimon. How about you? :)

120

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 04/01/2026

True, and normally I disregard them because it's just a pointless popularity contest. But I couldn't help but feel annoyed seeing Silksong win, since it's more of a meme pick than actual GOTY. I wouldn't be surprised if they botted for it to win, kinda like Gacha fans usually try to do.

110

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

Well the Steam Awards shows why general people shouldn't be allowed to vote when it comes to deciding the game of the year. Choosing Silksong as the game of the year? Sure it's a good game, but it does not hold up compared to so many of the games released in 2025. It's like a 7/10 at best.

130

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

Dawntrail has just been such a massive failure for casual players. Worthless story, boring raids and pretty much no fun content at all. I miss great content like the Nier raids and the Island Sanctuary.

000

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

I was trying to look up if Square had released any info about the release date for the next FFXIV expansion, but they have apparently not. And a lot of people seem to estimate and expect that it won't be out until 2027. At that point I'll probably have lost all interest in the game. T.T

I also thought it was a movie from Korea, but it's apparently from Sony. In that case, can they get off their asses and release the movie on Blu-ray? If Netflix is preventing that, they should tell them to fuck off. I don't wanna get Netflix to watch it.

000

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 30/12/2025

I've been hearing a song in the background of streams, and just found out that it was apparently a song called "Golden" from Kpop Demon Hunters. From the little I had seen/heard of it, I wasn't interested in it at all. But with it having music this good, I kinda wanna watch it.

100

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 25/12/2025

Yeah, it'll likely help a little at least.

010

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 25/12/2025

Overall at the moment I think the best I can do is just to keep monitoring it. If it starts to reach 90c to much, I'll probably try to get some help and replace the thermal paste or something.

110

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 25/12/2025

Ah okay. I definitely saw it reaching 90+ at some point which is why I've been worried. Normally it's around 80, and I've tried to lower graphics and max the fans after I saw the 90+ temp. And I've tried to monitor the temp as well. But sometimes it seems to spike.

110

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 25/12/2025

So I haven't really had much issues yet, but I'm worried that I might run into some soon.

110

ManaAlchemist @manaalchemist.bsky.social · 25/12/2025

It seems to be running a bit hot. I had it crash once, but the fans weren't running at max at that time. After that I maxed out the fans at all times plus lowered graphics in games. But the CPU temp seems to be around 80°C in some games, which I've heard is a bit on the high side.
