I'm currently waiting to testify against an anti-trans bill, SB 1999, in Texas and there's a bill before it, SB 38, to make it easier to evict squatters. Watching landlords try and paint themselves as victims of homeless people seeking shelter is equal parts funny and disgusting.

Conservatives want to say it's "fraud" to be trans - they used the same rationale in Trump's ban on trans people traveling to the US. But fraud requires material harm. So what information do they feel entitled to that is being withheld from them, and how does not having it cause harm?
