I don't have an issue with genderbent stuff in general, that's very fun - but that sort of fun can be had with practically any other popular thing. Leave the poorly aged problematic series in the past. I dropped it many years ago and never looked back.

Like, I do think there is potentially an overreaction in automatically labelling people as transphobes for making the art, cause it's just blatant trend-hopping. But it feels like the best way to handle your controversy is to become educated on what franchise you're appealing to, and delete it.

Like chapter 4 is entirely based around a CHURCH, so I gotta imagine if some countries don't make alterations to turn it into their respective religious preference, then they might outright remove religious content. But then, I wonder how strict that sort of thing is outside of the US...

So a while back, there was a discussion in fandom about how Undertale/Deltarune aren't available in any language besides English and Japanese, because (my opinion) Toby is quite protective of his plot and wants to ensure it's translated exactly right, and he knows enough Japanese to do it himself.

I'm also admittedly curious if they recorded any new voice work for anyone who may have passed since Super aired. The late and great Joji Yanami was the narrator (and King Kai) since the beginning, and you could tell he really needed a break during those early episodes of Super.

What makes it all weird is that the intention seemed to be making this more like the manga, but the manga actually just skips past those two movies entirely to get to the new stuff right away. Prior to Super, there was a Battle of Gods manga, and a single scene from Resurrection F as a movie promo.

And I know, there were comics, books, flash game etc, but movies would've been dope. I had a very surface level watched-the-commercial knowledge of the lore, and Mask of Light just drops you in with some fast and loose attempts to provide basic context for the series.

Something that I always found a lil unfortunate about the Bionicle movies we got is that Mask of Light really feels like it would be the fourth movie in a series, cause they had several big storylines before it, and the Toa Nuva become secondary characters for their first movie.

Other things in this silly lil project to upgrade Bionicle designs. Bohrok have new limbs with the rest kept pretty intact. Bohrok-Va get a new body that feels a bit tall bit I like it. Rahkshi get new arms and hips. Ignore the lack of spine spikes, Bricklink Studio doesn't have a model.
