Ended our "App of the Day"-day with Mercury as the top 4 weather app (up from top ~50 a few days earlier)! 🎉

Malin @malinsundberg.com · 22/10/2025

Haha thank you, Dan! It's a pretty early stage macOS-only release. We're wrapping up iOS soon, the instant multi-device sync is where it really shines 😁

Mercury Weather 3.0 is out now (and it's a big one)! 🌪️🌊☀️ Hurricane & tropical storm tracking (forecast cones, recent tracks + new widgets), tide forecasts for U.S. & Canada, a 24‑hour UV chart, and AQI forecasts when it matters, plus faster radar and lots of polish.

The air quality in Vancouver isn't great today, but it reminded me to post this @mercuryweather.app feature highlight! The info in the top card is dynamic depending on a few different conditions. When AQI passes 55, air quality is displayed prominently at the top!

Getting @mercuryweather.app ready for iOS 26! Our design was already fitting in pretty well, but we made some small tweaks. Here's a quick peek at pre/post 26 👀

Playing with the new iOS 26 ringtones makes me feel like I'm back in the early 2000s exploring every menu on my new flip phone 😁

We also went for a hike at Mount Robson, this one’s definitely one of my favorites! 🏔️

One of my favorite parts of Polaris is the instantaneous sync between multiple devices and team members. It's super smooth for the shared boards Kai and I have. We're planning to have the iOS app and team invite flow in a beta very soon, so people can start playing with it! #Shipaton #BuildInPublic

Thought I’d report back on this! This is the first time we put together a waitlist for an app before shipping. Within the first 24 hours, we got just over 50 signups. Next up, we’ll prepare a public beta. If you're on the waitlist, you should get a TestFlight invite in the next week-ish!
