When I started this account I wanted to tell Mal and Ada's stories in chronological order but I have brainworms so I'm going to make stuff from throughout their journey in whatever order my brain wants to release them in.

Mal and Thancred have a rivalry with a little sexual tension as a treat. They've hooked up at least once during ARR, and they've been silently trying to one-up each other at every opportunity. The tension is palpable, but the other Scions choose to feign ignorance.

A screenshot from FFXIV. The camera is positioned over Thancred's right shoulder while he sits on a chair in the waking sands. Malena is kneeling down in front of him so that she can make eye contact. She's smirking at him as if she's trying to provoke him. Her body is a little too close for comfort.

After storming the Praetorium and felling the Black Wolf, the Warrior of Light fixes her eyes upon the Crystal Tower. She doesn't understand why, but she feels drawn to it like a moth to a flame. It's both familiar and alien. Her insatiable curiosity leads her to a group in Mor Dhona.

A highlander woman stands with her back to the camera. In front of her lies a crystalline mega-structure known as the Crystal Tower.

Introduction time~ This account will center around these two characters: Malena and Adamantia. Malena, the highlander woman, is the WOL in this story. Adamantia is her mysterious companion who appears to be an Au Ra. Their paths became intertwined upon meeting in the Crystal Tower. #MalenAda

A tall highlander woman with long auburn hair stands in Ul'dah carrying her heart-shaped sceptre. She is styled as a cute mage with a blue caplet over a preppy black and white top, a short orange skirt, and long brown leather boots. This is Malena, the Warrior of Light in this story.

A petite woman with white hair and blue scales all over her body stands looking impatiently at the camera. Her ears are elongated like an elf's, and a pair of blue horns are wrapped around the top of her head. An eyepatch covers her right eye, leaving only her red-ringed silver eye visible. She is styled for mobility and speed, wearing a cropped tank-top, arm guards, shorts with garters, and long boots; all of which are black with electric blue accents. This is Adamantia, the companion to the Warrior of Light.
