Indeed - I was thinking that when I typed it. Pevsner was known for being opinionated, but it was a major achievement to produce a set of books on the main “Buildings of England”.

Church of St Peter & St Paul, Shropham, Norfolk Stained glass window of 1898 by Mary Lowndes. Unfortunately, the church was locked so we had to admire the window from outside. At least we could appreciate Mary Lowndes technique for the clothing, angel’s wings & faces. #StainedGlassSunday
