drawing for Into the Tower #art

Black and white drawing from 'into the tower' of a ridiculously tall tower at the top of the steep-sloped mountain city, its top extending into dark clouds. It's in a medeival motte and bailey type castle in a fantasy city full of wee detailed buildings, and a frame with magic symbol type stuff - the style is giving a bit of old school pen and ink / etching-y vibes.

Previously posted online, compiled into pdf format with some improvements and an extra epilogue page. [it only took me a year...] This came before Cliff and Eugene and definitely informed both the format and the premise!

Featuring: Astarion as a sex worker resigned to a life that he never chose. Halsin as a charity worker who wants to help him stand on his own two feet. Contains: sex trafficking, physical and mental abuse, both mentioned and shown. Intended for adults, though not sexually explicit.

Mal @malacandrax.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Bad for Business [ #Halstarion Sex worker/charity worker AU] is on itchio now (free/pwyw) malacandrax.itch.io/bad-for-busi... This comic is an AU of characters from BG3, though it reads well enough without knowledge of the game.

Mal @malacandrax.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

this is so kind of you to say, thank you! I definitely love to focus on more real feeling dialogue
