Don't counter conservative fearmongering by pointing out how small our population is—"less than 1%," they say, as if that's supposed to reassure everyone. I'm not looking for tolerance that's based on how few of us there are. I want justice that holds, even if we were half the population.

Musk calls empathy “the fundamental weakness of Western civilization.” A growing movement even argues that empathy is a sin. But why now? Why has empathy become the scapegoat? propheticimagination.substack.com/cp/158614978 #Empathy #Solidarity #TheCuriousCaseOfEmpathy

I just learned that the stylized section break in chapters (* * *) is called a "dinkus." You're welcome.

Sweet Sovereign Lord Baby Jesus, may you use your vast weather powers to freeze oppression. May Trump's tiny fingers and shriveled member turn gangrenous from frostbite. And may fascism drive over a patch of black ice, lose control of the vehicle of power, hit the telephone pole of justice, and die.

Friends and comrades, I'm asking y'all to step up accordingly and aggressively create safer spaces for everyone...help resource communities of mutual aid and show up for your people. 4/4

All the while, I've got like lingering medical debt and don't know what my healthcare will look like in the future. Meanwhile, I also recognize that I have it better than so many. That doesn't minimize my challenges; it just frames things. 2/4

Sitting in a clinic waiting room while two women joke between themselves about me...how I'm Mrs Doubtfire and speculating whether or not I have a d*ck. The staff aren't helping. I can't really advocate for myself because it plays into the narrative of the aggressive crossdressing predator. 1/4
