oh hey, who’s that in the CNBC thumbnail?? 👀👀👀

A screenshot of the thumbnail of CNBC’s latest Make It video: How Dungeons & Dragons helped bring in over $1 billion. The thumbnail shows Makenzie gesticulating behind an elaborately carved DM screen as she leads a game of D&D.

A photo of a gray and white ceramic dinner plate with Thanksgiving dinner on it: stuffing, roasted red onions and Brussel sprouts, and a pork chop topped with an apple and onion sauce. There is a glass of bubbly pink drink next to the plate.

A photo of the 2024 D&D Player’s Handbook alt cover and credits page. Scattered on the credits page is a set of red, black, and gold dice, with one d20 displaying the D&D ampersand.

IMAGINATION TIME 🌈💜🧡✨

Makenzie is dressed in a Figment cosplay, with a lavender wig, orange curved horns, dappled lavender overalls over a pink long sleeve, and orange dragon wings. She’s laughing as she’s climbing on top of Matthew, who is wearing a Dreamfinder cosplay. Matthew is dressed in blue pants, red vest over a white button down with cuffed sleeves, and a top hat with golden goggles.

Hello hello! I’m Makenzie De Armas, Game Designer for #DungeonsAndDragons 🐉 I worked as a developer for the 2024 Players Handbook and worldbuilder for Critical Role. I’m also an alumnus of Forbes 30 Under 30 and the creator of Asteria, D&D’s first canonically autistic hero! Come say hi! 💖

A screengrab of Makenzie with her hands against her cheeks, staring wistfully into the distance. Next to her is text quoting her: (wistfully) “I love mayonnaise.”

Makenzie stares wide-eyed off to the side, holding her hands like claws. She’s sitting on a couch giving an interview.
