Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 11hIt's between 23.7°C and 25.6°C in my apartment right now and I'm considering tea to warm myself up. 100
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 03/10/2026One of my registered domains got a massive 400% price increase, so I figured I'd need to either find a new place to register it, or abandon it. But turns out that I registered it for five years the last time, so it's good until 2030 comes around. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I wouldn't be surprised if Yousician received some complaints about their recent riffs of the day. It's only October! 010
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 02/10/2026My album of the day. Maybe today will be a good day. #1001AlbumsGenerator 201
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Reasons why Persona 3 Portable is great: you can form an all maid party. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Checked out if my old PSP still actually functions, and after spending some time rummaging around for a charger that'd fit it, it totally does! Even has all of my save data from 12+ years ago. 030
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Finished watching the new season of The Grand Tour. I feel like the show could still use with a studio and studio segments, but it was otherwise good. Hopefully they continue making more. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 24/09/2026It's probably a good thing I'm buying less and less physical books, as ever since Book Depository closed down, buying physical books has become a massive pain in the ass. 100
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 23/09/2026I really didn’t wanna start moving from Plex to Jellyfin, but the new Apple TV app breaks all of my subtitles. I also hate the new UI, but obviously videos being unplayable is a bigger issue. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Persona 3 Portable might've axed all of the animated cutscenes, but I'm glad there's still a group photo. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I have a blog post that I need to continue writing at some point. Just haven't had the time to properly dig into it. I also need to clean up the apartment in order to not show my family that I live like a pig, and unfortunately that might have to take priority over blogging. 200
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Fender may be a shitty company, but I really do love my Stratocaster. It's so cool. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 17/09/2026What if I could live without something going constantly wrong? Is that too much to ask? 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Halfway through September and I have zero balance on my credit card, meaning I’ve gone two whole weeks without discretionary spending. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 16/09/2026My car is doing strange things. Hopefully it's a temporary software thing and not the battery going bad. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 16/09/2026macOS Golden Gate was supposed to be a bug fix release, but it's full of new bugs instead. I have issues with my mouse flickering and keyboard shortcuts not working. Glad I didn't update my personal Mac. The 27.0 release is basically beta still. 130
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Updated my iPad Pro to iPadOS 27, disabled Reduce Transparency because I figured that Liquid Glass would finally be fixed, and then enabled it again about five minutes later when I struggled to read the fucking notification bubbles. It’s unbelievable how bad Apple is at UI design in 2026. 120
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Now that macOS 27 is out, I very bravely updated my Mac Studio to macOS 26. And it looks like shite. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 14/09/2026The Steam Frame is too expensive to buy as a toy when I have no VR titles I want to try beyond Beat Saber. 010
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Downloading PDF manuals for one of Lidl's in-house brands is a nightmare because for some reason they're reusing product codes between completely different products. Oh, you wanted the 516653_2510 network cable tester and not the 516653_2510 that is a voltage detector? Too bad! 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I have a bad feeling that I'm gonna end up subscribing to World of Warcraft before the year ends. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Does someone want to take over grocery shopping for me? Also cleaning the apartment too. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 11/09/2026I hate magic links. How about you do implement something sensible like WebAuthn instead? 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I've been letting my hair grow out (for no particular reason) but it's really hard to tell if it's really even growing. And considering how there's piles of hair absolutely everywhere I look, maybe my hair is just falling off before it gets any longer. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 09/09/2026"Others see that data as something to collect and store. They move it to their servers and ask you to trust them... but trust only goes so far when your data is no longer yours to control." Reminder that you cannot back up an iPhone to a home server. You need to use iCloud. #AppleEvent 110
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Hey IKEA, could you please make an mmWave presence sensor? Thanks. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Continued playing through an older Cyberpunk 2077 save and did the horror section in Phantom Liberty (if you know you know) for the third time in my life, and I have not grown any fonder of that bit. Got murderised two times, I think. 010
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 08/09/2026I guess it’s finally autumn considering how it’s raining pretty much every day now. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Since CDs, tape and vinyl are pretty much dead when it comes to the primary distribution channel for new music, is the hidden track completely dead as a concept? 001
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Forza Horizon 6 joins the perfected games list before Microsoft adds a bunch new achievements and takes it away from me. 220
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Watched the first episode of the new Grand Tour season, and I liked it. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Since there's (presumably) less than a month until macOS Golden Gate comes out, I should probably work on updating my Mac Studio from Sequoia to Tahoe. Not sure if I want to update to Golden Gate immediately though. Might need to monitor for a bit to figure out if it's a buggy mess at launch. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I scheduled my server to check backup integrity every first day of the month, and that it reads 25% of the data in order to verify that the blobs are not corrupted. Took 8 hours 59 minutes and 1 second. I wonder if I should just switch to weekly checks, but have it do something saner like 10%. 110
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 31/08/2026I think I slightly blew out my voice by belting out Psycho Killer. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 31/08/2026I'm glad I was never bamboozled into getting a 1Password subscription. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 30/08/2026I almost want to get a professional to figure out what kind of audio upgrade I should do, but I think I'm too cheap to pay for any additional labour when speakers themselves are so expensive. 000
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 29/08/2026300k yen for a bikini? Going to the beach in Japan seems expensive. 110
Mailia @mailia.bsky.social · 28/08/2026My Home Assistant VM is barely functioning, so I think I'm gonna go and try to set it up as a Docker container instead. 000
