We're asking visitors to take extra care at Mote Park following the presence of blue-green algae in the lake. Do not enter the water, or allow dogs and other animals into the lake or to drink from it. Blue-green algae can be harmful to people and animals and may be fatal to dogs.

We're asking people for their views on how Lockmeadow could evolve from better riverside access to events, markets and community activities. Consultation runs from 7/9 to 18/10 Drop-in sessions: 23, 25 & 27/ 9 at Lockmeadow, and 30/ 9 & 1/10 in Jubilee Square. Link in comments.
The Stag at Lockmeadow is a striking 21-foot aluminium sculpture by renowned British sculptor Edward Bainbridge Copnall. Originally created for Stag Place in London, it has stood beside the River Medway at Lockmeadow since 2004 and remains one of Maidstone's most recognisable landmarks.
