I have worked on some of the biggest and most involved animated projects in the indie scene. But holy CRAP Calling All Villains is putting me through my paces. I cannot wait for you to see it.

I don’t know what question to ask first.

Every time I try to record after 9:30, my cat stares at me, waits for me to start, and then meows to ruin the take. It's like she knows I don't tend to work after 9 PM and is insisting I stop. Perhaps it's just me.

This was one of the few things I unambiguously respected Xbox for. Their disability controllers are some of the best ive ever seen. Dismantling this department for layoffs is heartbreaking.

So I'm rewatching the Twilight Zone and I found an episode called "Five Characters in Search of an Exit." Or what I lovingly refer to as: "The Amazing Analog Circus." #tadc

I mean Shakespeare had a whole system baked into his writing where they'd stop the show and explain what was happening in direct concrete terms because he knew he was writing for both uneducated peasants who can't read and royals who refused to.

You can always rely on Hollywood to go out of its way to learn the wrong lesson.

This is simultaneously one of the most international things I’ve seen…. And one of the most American. Two utterly different cultures and genres of music. One with an expensive instrument and the other with literal trash. And the result it’s straight up fire. It so frequently happens here.

One high school friend tried to intimidate me by saying I needed to read three entire books to get started, and then another friend just dumped us into 3.5 with a contrived version of what he thought happened in Ranma 1/2. I have never watched Ranma 1/2. that guy unironically loved Naruto filler.

I wanna share a little bit about the Last Act. Not the movie itself, but rather, the theater experience. I went with @sonicmega.bsky.social and @parttimedragons.bsky.social and a few others to a theater not far from me. I was expecting a screaming theater and flying popcorn. Boy was I wrong. +

Fans. I’m asking you on behalf of both this team and indie animation in general: behave. No spoilers. Hold onto your art and reviews. Say nothing, and CLEAN YOUR TRASH in these theaters. If zoomers can dress formal for the minions movie, you can be respectful and handle two weeks.

I've lost my love of april fools in a social and economic climate where I have to constantly check if everything I am told is real and not some crypto scam, or a false flag, or an attempt to violate my privacy. being lied used to be considered an unusual thing.

For a long time, I struggled with this feeling of amateurism. That my work was scuffed. Rough, awkward and messy. After years, I realized the feeling that something was missing or broken wasn’t it. The ‘imperfection’ I saw was that I was the one making it. And that’s not a problem.

Continuing my voyager game in the *checks* hour or so I get to myself at 1 AM. I find it really REALLY funny that my new Malon crew member is not allowed to work on the waste disassembler. Considering the only thing the Malon are known for is literally hazardous waste disposal.

Can someone explain to me the profit model of making your timeless animated show unavailable anywhere? Like, where would it go after Netflix delists it? It’s THEIR show.

Japanese artist Hiroshi Nagai, famous for his illustration work for City Pop album covers (by extension the “city pop” aesthetic), has had his art used without permission by the official USA Department of Homeland Security Twitter account to promote mass deportations.

Screenshot of a quote-post on X. At the top is a Japanese-language tweet by Hiroshi Nagai (@hiroshipj), translated as: “The image is being used without permission from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security 🐧💦 What should I do about this 💦”.

Below it is a quoted post from the verified Homeland Security account saying, “The peace of a nation no longer besieged by the third world.” The attached image is a stylized, retro poster-like illustration of a calm tropical beach with palm trees and waves, with the caption “America After 100 Million Deportations.”

Several years ago, all the delivery and rideshare apps spent millions in lobbying to make sure all their employees would be contractors with no protections. 'Priority delivery' slows down everything else. all your 'driver support' fees and tips don't go to drivers. They go to union busting.

Me: Hi there. I only need this 1 TB SSD as a boot disk. it's only 76 dollars right? Retailer: Oh! great choice! but no. another company bought them out. Me: oh. so you're out? Retailer: No, it's under a different name that does the exact same thing but it's four times as expensive now. Capitalism.

So I just got to my doctor. I’m on the right plan. I’m on the right provider, but because the provider assigned me to a physician group no one has heard of, I lost my primary care and medication unless I pay out of pocket. This was after the IRS told my insurance I was poor and they dropped me.

A while back I was invited to go to a taco place in west palm beach. I have no words.

A taco place with the words “the only taco you’ll regret is the one you didn’t eat at tacos Del cartel.”

The drink menus in this taco place require batteries. It’s not a BAD idea but it’s too bright for dim lighting.

This bathroom does not have a sink. It’s just a hole.
