She signed a non-disparagement agreement as part of her severance package in 2017. An out-of-court arbitration hearing in the US found in Meta's favour in March 2025, stopping her from promoting her book or saying anything detrimental (even if true, I guess) about Meta/Facebook.

Nope: The American people have forfeited their right to government-supplied healthcare until they pay off the trillions in compensation to people abused by ICE. That needs to be paid first, before people start giving presents to themselves.

Back when I still used Twitter I would see posts by this Dean W. Ball about AI and think he was as dumb as dogshit. I didn't realise he was actually the "head of strategy" (lol what a bullshit title for a bullshit job) at OpenAI. L.O.L.

More old stuff, a 2013 Epstein-Musk missive that came out in January shows Musk's full-blown and above all DUMB self-importance. Can't imagine anyone actually smart talking like this. Note that when Epstein asks Musk if he thinks (sorry for r-word) he is retarded, he is calling Musk the retard.

I'm pretty sure the September 11 terrorists used box-cutter Stanley knives because the blades were short enough to be allowed on flights at the time. It's only after 9/11 that such short blades were banned.

What's with the "discretionary charge" they add on? If you're paying by card you just get them to set up the bill without it, right?

I visited London 9 years ago and someone told me it was optional (basically a scam, and I wonder who the extra money goes to). In a party of 4 I had to ask the server to take the bill back and redo it without the charge, and they did it no questions asked.

A university professor charted the results when students had to take a final exam in person, after the mid-term exam was take-home. Scores plummeted (except for one heroic struggler!) for obvious reasons. Then an AI which interprets and sums up charts gets the description exactly backwards!

Best result for the USA even if they don't think so. If they won it would be a black mark of disgrace against the country that would last decades. They (and especially FIFA) will be hoping it blows over now.

FIFA has a history of scandals at the World Cup. But they have been spur/heat of the moment (Hand of God) or under match pressure (sides nerfing a 0-0 when a draw suits them both). This one is unfolding over days. If Balogan doesn't sit out the match it will be a stain on the country for decades.

FIFA are a disgrace. If the USMNT had any integrity Balogun would sit out the next game, but Pulisic's gleeful comments in the article indicate that won't happen. The United States national team are as big a disgrace as FIFA. Disgusting. www.bbc.com/sport/footba...

Housing costs are a huge social problem in most of the world. I rent the house I live in, owned by the local Catholic diocese. They gleefully contribute to soaring costs of housing. In the two years I've lived here they've jacked up the rent 5% one year, 15% the next. Morals of a hedge fund.

Andreessen, though moronic and not understanding the first thing about how chatbots work, is a highly malevolent, evil and malignant piece of shit. Dawkins (see my post quoted here; the Andreessen post is within a few minutes) on the other hand is just cringeworthy. I actually feel bad for him.
