What an incredible ride and beautiful love letter Donkey Kong Bananza ended up being, now closing out with the final DLC event. DK island is now not only a living museum, but a journey through my best memories, playing all these different iterations of DK since I was a little kid, 30 years ago.

I really like how you can use the term “dark souls of” + genre to shield any game with so-called “flawed” or “anti design” gameplay mechanics. E.g.: Donkey Kong 64 is the dark souls of collectathons. There… now I protected DK64 from all criticism.

It's time for a renaissance of the 90's raytracing style renders from SGI machines and the amazing software Bryce3D

A classic raytracing render made in the Bryce3D, a 3D modeling and rendering software popular in the nineties. I prefer the japanese DKC 3 cover art, for the simply reason of featuring Parry the Parallel bird on it
