that minecraft dog with the weird eyes is rapidly becoming my spirit animal. he's supposed to be scary but i just love him and his anxious eyes.

how many times will i drown myself in expectation? swallowing myself up in everything i want to be, so close, yet so, so far from self-actualization? more vent art from last night. i don't wanna spam weird surreal shit but it's coming to me easier than anything else lately.

"I heard this idea that, every time you do something, make a choice, you create an alternate universe where you, like, did the other thing. It's an interesting concept, but... All I can think of lately is that I've probably ended up making the worst version of myself. Just thinking about all the better versions of me out there, living lives actually worth living.
The thoughts feel... Intense. Suffocating, smothering. Like I'm drowning in everything I could've been."

/ derealization / abstraction / selfdestruction / thereisnothingheretolove / tw: body horror, gore (kinda?), vent art

"There's always been something wrong with me, from the moment I came to be.
Even aside from my powers, there is something different about me.
Something inhuman.
Like I'm the shadow of someone who no longer exists.
It's a rot that consumes every single part of me.

I reached inside myself, and tried to tear it out.
There was nothing.
Inside of me there is nothing but an abyss.
Bottomless and desolate and lifeless.
Do you know how it feels to look at yourself, and see nothing?"

i haven't posted much of my own art lately, but i was struck by a blend of inspiration and dysphoria late last night, and stayed up til 6am drawing up this blend of a character design exploration, lore art, and vent piece. kinda simplistic overall, but i like it anyway. lore blurb in alt text.

And lastly, someone outside my story project, Twig of Defiant Nature (and her bonded spirit, Sparks), a tabaxi druid ostracized by her circle due to a lack of control over her magic, she now searches the world for a way to break the bond forced upon her that grants her her magic.

Next, "Apollo"! Real name unknown, a former student of a corporate medical college before an accident scorched their face and left them with bizarre magic powers, they now work behind the scenes feeding Errin intel to work against the organized crime they believe to be responsible.

Next, Aiden Alvarez! A cruel and violent mercenary and Errin's ex-boyfriend, who has taken up a contract to kill her as a means of taking back control of his life after a fight split them apart.

Bringing this back for some new OCs and some I forgot to post before, starting with Wren! An enigmatic, imperfect clone of Rose Ritan with memories of a relationship with Errin, he now finds himself pursuing a life and a purpose outside of the shadow of the two's relationship.

sorry to resurrect this like a week later but i've slowed down the footage here and like. lines genuinely appear out of nowhere, the footage is just too choppy and too fast to make it clear. most obvious example is at about 40 seconds with the big hair line but it's all over the place when slowed.

playing d2 with some friends lately and one of them pointed out that the island from savathun's memories in witch queen has very similar vibes to the "isle of the dead" painting by arnold bocklin. and apparently according to some commentary it is actually directly inspired. neat!

so instead of marketing your show based on its own merits and getting people interested in what you're doing, you're just taking potshots at another indie project. cool.

quote with your very first art of your OC vs. the latest from a recolored zoroark oc to a cool doggy, and not the slightest bit less damsel-prone. i love errin so much. (art by @zinnikitty.bsky.social and @ryuseihikari.bsky.social respectively)

immediately just thinking of this bit. truly powerful writing isn't done by sacrificing or changing things to satisfy others, it's done by making something that you want to exist. idk why this is hard for people.

destiny 2 is kinda dogshit but i think the weapon design is kinda highkey peak and i think cloudstrike is a very good example. they deadass just took a wizard staff and put grips a trigger and a scope on it and now it's a sniper rifle. peak sci-fi fantasy shit. star wars could never.
