If you're a long-time Commander player who either A) misses the halcyon days of EDH when you sometimes had to play a few janky cards to fill out the 99 or B) struggles to build decks that aren't too strong for your playgroup, try Artisan EDH! It's EDH but with only commons and uncommons.

Couldn't agree more, especially for Commander where every card that is virtually a basic land that costs mana instead of a land drop is way too insignificant to be worth using up a precious card slot from your deck.

If you play Commander, how do you avoid becoming everyone's enemy? Clearly, that is a loss condition, but how do you avoid it without missing the mark for winning? Imho, the key is avoiding cards/commanders that are simultaneously scary and unlikely to end the game immediately.

After playing Brawl on Arena, I realize that one of the best elements of Commander is the fact that it has a self-balancing feature that reduces lopsided games, and that is the multiplayer environment. Busted start? 3 opponents. Faltering start? 3 allies.

6 months down the road, I doubt there will be any significantly sized group of players who will fondly reminisce about the times when these four cards were legal, just like how almost no one lovingly daydreams about tucking commanders
