Goretober day 9 - 🐜Decomposition Pens & marker in sketchbook - 2026 #maggotdoodles #goretober #traditionalart

A detached eye decomposing. A trail of ants are making their way to the moldy crater in the eye, and parts of it are darkening as the orb begins to rot.

Goretober day 1 - 🦠Infection Gonna try to keep up with these! Found this prompt list from @blacksugarpill.bsky.social 's day one

Whisper (cat/bug) is laying down with a blanket behind it. It has snot running down its nose, bloodshot eyes, and wounds leaking pus.
Surrounding it there is a tissue box, a close up of one of the wounds, and a close up of a thermometer reading 102.0 (referring to degrees Fahrenheit)

Artist Statement & Bio, get to know me better! I made these assets IRL for fun, they will be on my website. Wanted to make them look like notes you'd pick up in a horror game! (Check ALT if you can't read)

I create character designs and narrative illustrations using mixed media consisting of digital drawing software, markers, pencils and pens. I aim to make people who feel isolated or different see their invisible struggles reflected in my work and embraced.
To achieve this, my art utilizes cute anthropomorphic animals that have their anatomical traits combined with those of insects, crustaceans or other visual motifs considered less endearing by the average person. The reason for this is simple: the alienation I experience due to my identity as someone neurodivergent and queer align with how people treat "creepy crawlies" that make them irrationally uncomfortable. Through my art, I choose to embrace myself by illustrating that intangible feeling.

Maggot (it/its) is a Massachusetts-based contemporary artist that grew up posting its art online since childhood. In 2018, it graduated with an Associate in Fine Art from Mount Wachusett Community College. When it is not creating, Maggot takes care of a spoiled parrot who loves to watch it play video games & watch scary movies.
Currently, Maggot draws anthropomorphic animals who have body parts replaced or enhanced with insect features or other motifs. It creates both digitally and traditionally using Clip Studio Paint, alcohol markers, and colored pencils. Using MaggotKIbble as an online handle, it currently works with clients through VGen and posts its original art on social media.

In this piece, Whisper is in a beam of light, holding it's grub and looking off to the right of the canvas. behind a wall, there is several other "Whispers" that are all looking at the one in the vertical beam wrapped up or draped in spider silk. the foreground shows a fly in a spider's web. One of the disheveled whispers in the dark space behind the wall has a flashlight that it's gripping, creating a bright contrast in the dark.

Would anyone be interested in getting chibis like this for $25? I plan to charge $40 but I want some examples with other people's characters first. I'd be taking 4 slots on VGen! 🪰 #vgen #furry #opencommissions 🪰

A chibi of a white borzoi that appears to have several stitches and nails on it's body. Its organs are held in with clear plastic, and flies surround the seemingly undead dog.
