My second place scarf is proceeding nicely. The BFL yarn is feeling easier to work with after some practice.

@kate I just started using it cause it's what I bought it for. And also cause I need every yard so I didn't spend any on a swatch 😂

My first knitting project is off the needles, the mourning shawl I started after Dearbhail died. It still needs weaving and blocking.

Phase 2 completed! The pastry cream turned out very gummy, but I added more warm milk and it got creamy again. I really thought it was ruined at the butter stage because it was just blobs of cream swimming in butter, but it did eventually blend in. I am now […] [Original post on fandom.ink]

my interchangeable needles arrived today, so I cast on the mystery mourning shawl that I bought to honor Dearbhail. I have already messed up and there's an extra stitch! I know where it is, so I guess I'll just stitch two together at that point to get back to the […] [Original post on fandom.ink]

I have now seen the definitive version of Cats! And the only version anyone should ever bother putting on. It makes more sense than the original.

So far the overwhelming feeling of having lost dearbhail is numb emptiness. Nothing is satisfying. Not food or shows or games or crafts. Diverting but not satisfying.

My girl's first and last photos. What a life in between. I will never know another dog with such a spirit. I did not appreciate her enough when Callum was still around, but I hope I made up for when it was just the two of us. Sweetheart, what will my life be without you... 💔💔💔

@evoterra Artist Jason Pedersen made these #RebelBirds for AZ. They are free to use for signs. I thought you might dig 'em.

The company sent us a nice candle on our holiday box. Good size. Wood wick that crackles. I only wish it was a better scent.
