I would tell myself to run away. My mother was toxic to my mental health and very religious. I fell in love for the 1st time at 19 and we almost ran away together (New York to California). But we chickened out. Our relationship still would have failed, but I would have been happier and free.

Haven't been in here much lately. My husband died suddenly on 6/15, and our sweet old lady, Gilda, died on 9/3. It's been a summer from Hell. I'm not alone here. I still have our baby, Tasha, and my special needs nephew that we raised together. And my best friend has been staying during the week.

18 hours ago. Does it get easier? Does the crying stop? 18 hours ago, this wonderful man (left), who loved me for 25 years, I found dead on the bathroom floor. He was only 62. My heart is truly shattered in two; the best part of me/us is gone. And it hurts so much.
