People ask why I talk to people who disagree with me, even about me being trans. Simple: disagreement doesn’t make you my enemy. You don’t have to believe what I believe. Just talk to me like a human and I’ll do the same. We need less teams and more actual conversation.

As a trans person, I’ve never really understood the need for “cis.” Not as hate or criticism—I just figured “trans” already makes the distinction. If I say “trans woman” and “woman,” the difference is already clear to me. Unless the term is needed for context in the convo.

If I were simply female, “trans” wouldn’t be a meaningful distinction. I was perceived and treated as a boy for much of my life, so my experiences differ from women raised as girls. Transition doesn’t give me those experiences. I can speak more directly on trans/LGBT history and rights.

Being trans in 2026 is kinda surreal sometimes. Growing up in the early 2000s it was: “Why are you wearing girl clothes? You a fa**ot?” “You watch anime? That weird cartoon shit?” Now it’s: “Okayyy cute outfit.” “Wait, what anime are you watching?” Like… huh?? 😂

Being openly trans online, I notice a lot of anti-trans people come in expecting a fight because of past experiences. I'll give you grace for that first reaction. Just reel it back and talk to me. Disagree, ask questions, whatever. Base your opinion of me on me, and I'll do the same for you.
