Just a selfie in my new place. There are flower canvases on the wall, a few plants, and colorful books in the background.

Single On Purpose de John Kim, Didn’t See That Coming: Putting Like Back Together When Your World Falls Apart de Rachel Hollis, How to Be An Adult in Relationships de David Richo.
Les trois piliers du genre, paraît-il.

Quote this with your cat :3

Vénus, my beautiful Lynx Point Siamese cat, when she was a few months old. She has bright blue eyes !

Also Vénus. Here you can distinguish the purple at the center of her eyes.

I forgot to add that despite my passion going to digital painting, I’m more known for creating these two pieces against racism, sexism and islamophobia ☺️

I used to do Taekwondo, which I absolutely loved, but had to stop when I moved. Nowadays I’m a total gym rat, but I plan to get back to martial arts in a few years.

A taekwondo class taught by a young lady. The little kids are sparring happily all over the tatami.

Kids practicing their high kicks. The one preparing to strike is confident, his partner holding the target isn’t so sure though!

Kids preparing to start their sparring classes. Stretching, warming up, but also scrolling on their phones and gossiping!

My cat Vénus also inspires me a lot :3

A girl (me when I had pink hair lol) is reading in her pillow fort. A cat is sitting on her lap, booping her chin with her tiny nose. There’s tea, cookies and plants around. All is well and peaceful.

A bustling food court entirely run by and for cats ! Some are enjoying sushi and sake, others are eating pizza or ramen that is being prepared in front of them, waiting for their fish order to be ready, running errands… it’s a busy scenery made of a lot of pink and orange.

My cat Vénus. She’s a tiny Lynx Point Siamese cat, with blue/purple eyes. Here she’s looking at the camera from the sofa, striking a pose.

I mainly draw inspiration from the places I’ve been to and the people I love. For instance, this is showcasing Higashiyama-Ku in Kyoto, where I went on vacation a few years back ✨

A couple is descending a long flight of stairs in a traditional neighborhood of Kyoto’s old town. It’s night time and fireflies are dancing around the lanterns here and there. The characters wear a purple yukata and a dark blue hakama, which are traditional kimono garments perfect for hot summer night strolls.

I used to be a full time illustrator, but a few years in I realized doing it as a living was not for me. Nowadays I mainly draw as a hobby!

A traditional art study of my own hand in various poses. A few touches of watercolors and colored pencils are added for depth.

A study of a picture of cloudberries, which are Scandinavian berries that both look adorable and taste very good. They make a great cloudberry jam at Ikea!

A study of a tamarix tree in full bloom, it’s branches extending through the wild grass, where you can also see a multitude of fluffy dandelions.

Hi all! I thought maybe I’d do a little presentation + thread of some of my favorite illustrations I’ve made over the years. My name is Mae and I love to paint calming sceneries of girls just living their everyday life 🌟

A girl is standing on the side of a hill, sitting in the middle of the grass fields. Her hair is purple and held up in two pigtails. She’s painting the portrait of a cat sitting next to her and showing the painting to the cat as it is being created. Many other cats can be seen behind here and there, and you can distinguish a huge Shinto temple at the top of the hill, with the skyline of a town extending behind. Dusk is setting in.

A girl with a short black bob and bangs is sitting at her desk, contemplating the painting of a water lily she just finished. She wear an ample beige dress with dark blue leaf patterns. There are many watercolors laid out around the painting, as well as other art supplies. The window is open and shows an assortment of plants and tea pots. A cat is sleeping on the windowsill, and another one can be seen inside the house, sleeping in the living room.

A girl is peeling apples in her kitchen, she’s following a recipe for an apple tart. Her black hair is held up in a messy updo, and a white apron is tied over her long red skirt. She’s turning around as she is peeling one and looking at the viewer. A black, fluffy cat is at her feet, expectantly looking at her. There are many kitchen items laid out around her, and the light of the huge window in front of her is filling the room just enough for her to see what she’s doing.
