Under these last Gil-Galad's words appears Elrond in the present, in a dark room, thoughtful at that memory. There is a black balloon connecting with the hand that says "MY... CHILDREN"

Then I met Estel who has no gender at all. It also helped me to talk to them. And seeing someone like Laithrûn who is so firm in their identity that not even people referring to them as a man shakes them, is also very helpful
