Now we're turning toward Round 4, and before we dream up what's next, we want to hear from you. What worked. What didn't. What surprised you. What you wish had been different. Your experience with this round shapes the one to come.

Round 3 moved over $2M USD to 201 grassroots nature projects. We couldn’t have done it without you. Forests protected, seeds saved, communities strengthened, all because of a shared vision for community-led regeneration.

Amidst heat waves and wildfires, thousands of everyday citizens showed up to support their ecosystems and communities. Not waiting for someone else to do it. Rolling up their sleeves and taking action.

What's more important, beyond the numbers: land stewards finding one another across continents, an outpouring of solidarity, and proof of what's possible when we act with life at the center.

Communities around the world are strengthening their bonds with land by working with bees and reviving native habitats. They’re also building regenerative livelihoods, producing and selling local honey so they can keep tending the ecosystems they depend upon.

Most plants rely on the collaboration of pollinators to flower, fruit, and reproduce. Yet industrial agriculture’s intensive use of pesticides is collapsing this critical cycle, hitting native bees the hardest. In areas with heavy pesticide use, bee populations have dropped by as much as 43%.

Ma Earth @maearth.com · 20/07/2026
Bees pollinate roughly 75% of the world’s flowering plants. Without them, much of what we eat and drink — fruit, coffee, almonds, and more — simply wouldn’t exist.

In dense cities, many people report not knowing a single neighbor by name, and know even less about the land that feeds them.

A city can feel like the opposite of a garden: concrete instead of soil, strangers instead of neighbors. Isolation is rising alongside urbanization.

Grassroots projects are recycling, composting, and regenerating materials we’re used to throwing away. They're giving wetlands a vote, diverting millions of kgs of organics from landfills, turning agricultural waste into daily wages, and meeting a global problem with shared responsibility.

Ma Earth @maearth.com · 16/07/2026
Fragmented land ownership, industrial agriculture, and urban growth have broken these cycles of use, reuse, and return. Organic material that once fed soil now ends up in landfills, waterways, and roadsides. Yet some communities know that “waste” can be an opportunity.
110
Ma Earth @maearth.com · 16/07/2026
Waste is a modern concept. For most of human history, materials have moved in circular systems: from land to plate, kitchen to soil, and back again.

Agroforestry keeps another way alive: crops and canopy in one system, where every layer is intentional. Fruit above, beans and roots below, with shade, soil, and water harmonizing the elements between. Communities worldwide are remembering how forests can be a source of nourishment and bounty.

Today, industrial monoculture has stripped much of that knowledge from the land: over 30% of the world's soils are now degraded, and every year, more fertile ground turns to dust.
