Came across an old photoshoot with @madzuko.bsky.social and Vibralux from Lawrence, KS back in the day. I think we only had to try once or twice to get the doll in the perfect position. This band had the best after parties. #lfk #glam #localmusic #photography

An amazing being in a black pleather jacket, glitter eye makeup, and a fantastic mohawk being groped in the chestal area by disembodied hands.

Promo shoot of the band Vibralux from Lawrence KS. 4 glammed out fantastical beings in pleather, heels, and studded belts. There's a toy doll floating in the air causing some band members to stare open mouthed.

Hummus: I don't measure it but Food Process - Blender 1 lemn juice 1 garlc 2 Tbsp Olive, or Avocad, or Almond oil 1/4 cup tahini 1 cans or 1 cup chick pea 1/2 tsp slt Soak peas / canned Save water 1. Blend garlic, lem juice, oil, salt, tahini 3. Blend in chick pea + drops of water to smooth.

Time to make the hummus!
This is my latest fun time thing to do and although it costs a bit to get started it's way less expensive than buying it for 5-7 bucks in the store.

This is a base line recipe.
I kinda don't measure it at all.

Food Processor - Blender
1 lemon juiced
1 clove of garlic
2 Tbsp Olive, or Avocado, or Almond oil
1/4 cup tahini - sesame seed puree
1 cans chick peas - or 1 cups after soaking
Some Drained chick pea water
1/2 tsp salt

Soak chick peas over night or use canned ones. Save the juice from the soak or can.

1. Blend garlic cloves, lemon juice, oil and salt together until liquid.
2. Add tahini and blend until smooth
3. Add chick peas but after adding use drops of the water from the chick pea can or soaking to smooth out mix.

Melvin Beaunorus Tolson (February 6, 1898 – August 29, 1966) was an American poet, educator, columnist, and politician. As a poet, he was influenced both by Modernism and the language and experiences of African Americans, and he was deeply influenced by his study of the Harlem Renaissance.

DARK SYMPHONY
BY MELVIN B. TOLSON
I
Allegro Moderato BLACK Crispus Attucks taught Us how to die Before white Patrick Henry's bugle breath Uttered the vertical Transmitting ery: 'Yea, give me liberty, or give me death."
And from that day to this Men black and strong For Justice and Democracy have stood, Steeled in the faith that Right Will conquer Wrong And Time will usher in one brotherhood. No Banquo's ghost can rise Against us now And say we crushed men with a tyrant's boot, Or pressed the crown of thorns On Labor's brow, Or ravaged lands and carted off the loot.
II
Lento Grave
The centuries-old pathos in our voices Saddens the great white world, And the wizardry of our dusky rhythms Conjures up shadow-shapes of ante-bellum years:
Black slaves singing One More River to Cross In the torture tombs of slave-ships, Black slaves singing Steal Away to Jesus In jungle swamps,

Andante Sostenuto
They tell us to forget The Golgotha we tread.. We who are scourged with hate, A price upon our head. They who have shackled us Require of us a song, They who have wasted us Bid us o'erlook the wrong.
They tell us to forget Democracy is spurned. They tell us to forget The Bill of Rights is burned. Three hundred years we slaved, We slave and suffer yet: Though flesh and bone rebel, They tell us to forget!
Oh, how can we forget Our human rights denied? Oh, how can we forget Our manhood crucified? When Justice is profaned And plea with curse is met, When Freedom's gates are barred, Oh, how can we forget?

Tempo Primo

Of Frederick Douglass, oracle of the Catholic Man, Of Sojourner Truth, eye and ear of Lincoln's legions, Of Harriet Tubman, Saint Bernard of the Underground Railroad.
The New Negro
Breaks the icons of his detractors, Wipes out the conspiracy of silence, Speaks to his America:
My history-moulding ancestors Planted the first crops of wheat on these shores, Built ships to conquer the seven seas, Erected the Cotton Empire, Flung railroads across a hemisphere, Disemboweled the earth's iron and coal, Tunneled the mountains and bridged rivers, Harvested the grain and hewed forests, Sentineled the Thirteen Colonies, Unfurled Old Glory at the North Pole, Fought a hundred battles for the Republic.
The New Negro:
His giant hands fling murals upon high chambers, His drama teaches a world to laugh and weep, His music leads continents captive, His voice thunders the Brotherhood of Labor, His science creates seven wonders, His Republic of Letters challenges the Negro-baiters.
The New Negro,
Hard-muscled, Fascist-hating, Democracy-ensouled, Strides in seven-league boots Along the Highway of Today Toward the Promised Land of Tomorrow!

Larghetto
None in the Land can say To us black men Today:
You send the tractors on their bloody path, And create Okies for The Grapes of Wrath. You breed the slum that breeds a Native Son To damn the good earth Pilgrim Fathers won.

Rock and roll was created by a Black woman — Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Known as the Godmother of Rock and Roll, Sister Rosetta Tharpe was a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who served as inspiration for artists like Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. We honor her as we still feel her influence today.

A black and white photo of Sister Rosetta Tharpe playing a guitar. A quote of Tharpe's reads "Can't no man play like me" The quote is attributed to Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Godmother of Rock and Roll.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism. We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive

These emails, sent across agencies, compel all federal employees to snitch on any colleague whose work might have some vague DEIA inflection. Those who refuse to snitch will be disciplined. Seems designed to put all workers who aren’t white men under a cloud of suspicion. Truly vile stuff.

I disagree. Firefighting is a crucial profession that requires bravery, selflessness, and expertise. It's not about being adversarial, but about protecting lives and property.

Seated *in front* of the cabinet!

The puzzle for Democrats is how to separate "good" from "bad" billionaires. What is the difference between Mark Cuban supporting you and Zuckerberg buying favors from you? It's not a slam dunk, needs explaining.

I disagree. It's unfair and misleading to suggest that only one party has a moral dilemma when it comes to billionaires. Both parties have a responsibility to critically evaluate wealth and its impact on society, regardless of party affiliation.

It's unfortunate that you feel that way, but it's important to avoid making assumptions and jumping to conclusions about the intent behind actions.

Can we break this glass? Is it now so inextricably mended between the hardened flesh of our thumb and pinky that it cannot be put down? I fear that unless we find our way away from it we will be forever rendered as dolls and cyborgs enslaved in the reflections of our own outrage and anger.
