8 October 1937 | Dutch Jewish girl, Sara van Hasselt, was born in Rotterdam. In August 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz with her mother Heintje. They were probably both murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection. Her father, Levie, also perished in Auschwitz.

No, nowhere do laws distinguish between those who happened to vote for the politicians who enacted them, and those who did not e.g. I did not vote for the party that made seat belts compulsory, but that doesn't exempt me from wearing one.

7 October 1941 | A French Jewish boy, Claude Vecksler, was born in Paris. He arrived at #Auschwitz on 25 September 1942 in a transport of 1,000 Jews deported from #Drancy. He was among 475 of them murdered in gas chambers after the selection. He was 11 months old.
