I decided to pick up the Steam version of Bravely Default because it's on sale and I adore the game and... It has a unique rhythm minigame. There goes my upcoming vacation's free time~

If anyone remembers the Summon Night Swordcraft Story games on GBA, I just learned there's a third game that was only recently translated by fans. We played the first game on stream a long time ago. Should we stream the second game as well and then check out an entry I never played before?

100

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

The fact that I remembered the Test of Strength so vividly due to my lack of button-mashing skill, combined with how I have zero memory of the SECOND Test of Strength, makes me believe I never actually played Star Fox Adventures all the way through before. So, first actual playthrough done?

Today I learned there are rupees hidden out of sight on a roof in Ordon village and the randomizer will absolutely put crucial items there because heck me I guess. 😆

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

So, the Dusklight rando ended up dropping in the middle of stream. Guess we've no choice but to do an extra stream night of it sometime soon, because I'm not waiting a week!

The Valheim addiction is back with a vengeance! Apologies, I may be less active in Twitch chats while I try to reach the new content in the 1.0 release.

030

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I still think about this moment from Twilight Princess rando.

010

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Thank you again for all the raids and follows tonight! I really appreciate it! I wasn't expecting to beat Ori 2 rando in one stream. I'll have to think of another one for next week if Dusklight's isn't fully out yet. Maybe, since I'm hyped for Metroid Ravenous, some Dread rando...?

010

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

~Stream alert~ We're going live with Ori and the Will of the Wisps rando! How will this compare to the first game? Let's find out and enjoy the vibes while we're at it! www.twitch.tv/madmanonfire

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

However, Kirby's trailer has only shown familiar gameplay. We saw copy abilities and a stronger form of one. And the copy abilities have new uses for traversal. If the new Kirby sticks to this and doesn't add some bizarre gimmick, I think I'll enjoy it more than the other open-world(ish) games.

000

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

One of the reasons BotW/TotK, Bananza, and MP4 were letdowns for me is how their main mechanics were a major change from their previous games. BotW/TotK had object-manipulation and fragile weapons, Bananza had the ability to dig almost anywhere, and MP4 had the motorcycle and green crystals.

101

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Thinking about the new Kirby game some more, I was initially wary of the game being BotW'd like Donkey Kong and Metroid Prime. However, there is one key difference between Kirby and the rest of them so far.

100

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

The more I learn about OoTRemake's art style and inspirations, the more excited I get about playing the game and seeing all the little details for myself! I haven't been this hyped for a Zelda game in many years.

100

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Also, to prepare for OoTR in November, maybe we should do a quick playthrough of OoT Master Quest. I haven't played that in many years and it could be fun to re-experience it.

000

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

What if we celebrate SFAdventures arriving on NSO with a playthrough next week?

000

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Nintendo Direct thoughts: STAR FOX ADVENTURES SHADOWDROP YOOOOOOOO! METROID 6 IN JANUARY AAAAHHHHHH! Danganronpa 2x2 in January too yaaaaaaas! Oh no, they BotW'd Kirby. I hope the open world isn't as boring as Bananza was. Overall, Metroid 6 soon alone made it 10/10.

~Stream alert~ We're going live with A Link to the Past! Let's have a chill couple of playthroughs while we try collecting achievements! Can we get them all tonight? www.twitch.tv/madmanonfire

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

This week's schedule, all times ~6PM EDT: Tuesday - A Link to the Past achievement hunting Friday - Ori and the Will of the Wisps rando Sunday - Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin We're going to try out retroachievement hunting with my favorite Zelda game for the first time tonight!

010

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Gameplay is always the most important detail for me, and it looks good in that regard so far. I'll definitely play it asap and see how it differs from the original, since I'm pretty familiar with the game now thanks to the rando.

000

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

OoTRemake thoughts: Pros: Jump button, dedicated ocarina button Cons: Single item slot, horizontal scrolling item menu I like how the environments look. Link's outfit and textures will take some getting used to.

Madman @madmanonfire.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

I'll post this week's schedule after the first Direct. Just in case something absolutely wild happens.
