It’s that time of year again! For those that don’t know, I make a holiday song with my family every year since my kid was born and 2024’s is out now! This year, Loch made a story about a cat and we made it a song. madigan.me

Very cool! I don't think the name is bad at all. Would it be used for something like a carousel? I think useState would be more readable then useReducer, and I think having your params as normal params instead of one object might be more intuitive.

const useArrayCycler = <T,>(array: T[], initialIndex = 0) => {
const [index, setIndex] = useState(initialIndex);

const cycle = () => {
setIndex((index + 1) % array.length);
};
return [array[index], cycle] as const;
};
