Didn’t disclose horrifics of the genocide but let him do that research himself. Now he knows. He presented it in class, got a “Wow!” remark from teacher, thinks it’s an A. We’ll see about that, but the gist of my joy is that word is out to his class of young adults to ponder now & in the future.

He chose to highlight the Armenian genocide. I was all over that, of course ~ pictures a cousin who tracked me down a while back had shared, a handwritten census document found long ago on familysearch.org and a brief description of his great great grandfather’s tale of escape.

It’s vital to do so, otherwise truth will certainly blow away in the winds of tyrants all around us. To my delight, last week grandson, a HS sophomore, asked for family info to write a history class report that included a family tree and its relation to the American experience.

Highly recommend this harsh reminder short film. An extraordinary capture of Hitler's genocide in action is a hard, truth hurts, facts in the face documentation. Fascism has wormed its way into our culture & halls of politics, clearly a grab for America in its fragile state of our democracy. Imv.
