A little (a6) gouache painting 🌿💞

Sketchbook open on a wooden desk surrounded by paint supplies. The book is open to a page that shows a landscape painting of trees and surrounding foliage on a summer day with lots of green. The painting was made from opaque watercolors (gouache.)

Thank you!! I hope you will give gouache a try! Its great to be able to paint opaquely and add light colors over dark colors - in that way it is a lot more flexible than watercolor. 😊 If you have any questions about it you're welcome to ask me!

Can’t stop drawing jimothy! This time in my comfort sketchbook #art #jimothy #sketchbook

Graphite drawings of jimothy in a toned sketchbook. There are 8 jimothy on the page, 5 of them are adults in various poses showing off his excellent proportions of squat body with long leggies. 3 small drawings are of jimothy as a baby looking squat as fuck

Summer and gouache, two of my favorite things! 😊🌿💖

Photo of a sketchbook open on a wooden desk, surrounded by painting supplies. The page shows a gouache painting of a pathway through green foliage, with light shining down on the path and illuminating some of the plants on either side.

Some triad experiments using a method from James Gurney's Triads video (on left.) I chose the bottom triad for this study because of the vibrant greens.😊💚 On right are some screenshots of the digital process from my livestream. You can see the Coolorus gamut mask tool on the top left of my screen!

Painting the same image with the same limited palette in 2 mediums: Gouache on left (using holbein spring green, ultramarine, and orange yellow) and digital on right (using coolorus gamut mask in ps with 3 colors)😊🌿🧡💙💚

A photo of a painting on a desk surrounded by paint supplies. It is a gouache painting of an outdoor stairway in warm light surrounded by foliage with a large tree and blue sky in the background.
