Went on a vacation to Nevis. Like many Caribbean islands, there are ruins of old sugar mills, a sad legacy of colonial slavery. Donkeys also worked the mills. Now their ancestors run (or clop, trot) loose on Nevis. They make the funniest noises!

It happened to me- got letter from Blue Cross saying my plan won’t exist in 2027. Choices for next year very limited & they make it so hard to get definitive answers on whether your providers are in network! I’ve spent three days on this already. Universal healthcare for all, dammit!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Indeed, got notice from BCBS 3 days ago no longer offering my plan. Very limited choices in Hennepin Cty. May lose my therapist, have to find a new dentist in network (almost impossible), have to go to different endocrinologist. So stressed out & have spent so much time on this!!

Well, it’s happening- BlueCross is not offering Medicare Advantage plans in Hennepin County (Minneapolis area) for 2027. This was predicted as fallout from GOP gutting ACA subsidies & Medicaid. My only option may be original Medicare with Medigap & Part D. But many providers don’t take Medicare!!
