Shiptember is one of my fav events of the year, unfortunately this year I don't have enough time to do spaceships daily, so here's a wip of a larger artwork I want to finish this month instead.

Thanks! I liked Delta-V a lot, but the sequel is at least as good as the first book, if not better. (And I've made an artwork for a second book too, will be posting it later this week)

If you are looking for a near-future hard sci-fi novel about asteroid mining, make sure to check out "Delta-V" and its sequel "Critical Mass", they are definitely among my recent favorites 🚀 Can't wait for the third book in the series!

Happy Asteroid Day 2026! ☄️ Asteroid mining ship Konstantin and asteroid 162173 Ryugu. This year's artwork is pretty special - it's also a custom DIY cover illustration for "Delta-V" by @daniel-suarez.com, which I made as a birthday gift for my amazing girlfriend @hypeandspace.bsky.social 🚀✨

Right now my bluesky and X profiles are the best places to see my work in hi-res, but I am working on my own website gallery, where I want to display my art in best quality, I will be posting updates on that on my profiles

Engines III. Routine inspection of interstellar starship engines, brief stop on its way to Pleiades open star cluster. Every few years I feel the urge to do some big engines, so here's the third piece in the series. Blender, Procreate, Photoshop, 2026.

And here's how it looked when I rendered Kronos 1 in 2016.

11 years ago I've started working on Kronos 1, and to this day it is still one of my fav designs. Time to bring it back, and update it a bit, using that additional 10+ years of my experience. Originally modelled in Modo, now it lives in Blender, with a ton of new details.

Can't contain my excitement for the #ProjectHailMary movie, so here's a little treat - when I saw the official poster for the movie, I knew I had to do my own take, with the designs based on descriptions from the original book by Andy Weir. Blender & Photoshop, 2026. #noAI #scifi #digitalart

Haha, yeah, it's a 3d render from Blender overpainted in Photoshop to get the analog painting look. And I have a Wacom Cintiq 27″ on my PC, but for less complex artworks I sometimes just use Procreate on iPad.

Yeah, in such a low gravity environment they would probably use some maneuvering thrusters built into the spacesuits to gently push them around.

voyager212 / Mac Rebisz @macspace.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

Yes, and the novel version of 2001 Space Odyssey takes place in the Saturn system (instead of Jupiter system as seen in the Kubrick's movie), which would be very fitting here!

My latest artwork - two astronauts exploring the surface of Saturn's icy moon, Enceladus. Plumes from the subsurface ocean are lit up by the dim sunlight. Digital painting, @blender.org and Photoshop, 2026. Any cool ideas for what the mission should be called?

This is great, glad you like it! I usually allow the use of my images for non-commercial academic purposes without any charges (scientific/academic presentations, science papers). Just put a credit with my name somewhere near the image and it'll be great :)

Spirit's twin rover, MER-B Opportunity, nicknamed Oppy, robotic rover that was active on Mars from 2004 until 2018. Opportunity was operational on Mars for 5111 sols (it was planned for 90 sols) and travelled over 45 km. Digital painting, Photoshop, 2026.

Later this month there's a 5th anniversary of Perseverance rover landing on Mars, so it's a perfect time to do a little throwback series to my Mars rovers artworks, starting with the good old MER-A Spirit, which explored Mars for 1538 days and traveled over 7,5 km.
