@corbden

“Buddy Christ” from the movie Dogma. It’s a statue of white Jesus (brunette mode) with the sacred heart motif, winking his right eye, giving a thumbs up with his left hand, and pointing (presumably at the target of the wink) with his right hand

Dear Internet: I have now been PHYSICALLY PRESENT in the SAME ROOM as the burial gown of Eleonora di Toledo!!! #EleonoraDiToledo #16thCenturyFashion #RenaissanceFashion #ModaAFirenze #PalazzoPitti #Firenze #Florence #FashionHistory #HistoricDress

A white silk gown in fragments is splayed flat on a surface, softly lit from above. It has a train and is badly stained by the decomposition of the body that once wore it. It is embroidered in now-tarnished silver in wide bands along the edges.
