📚💙 #TheHitchhiker’sGuideToTheGalaxy 7/10 favorite quote that really encompasses the whole novel is: “Don’t Panic.” It ended with a semi-cliffhanger so so feel the need to listen to #TheRestaurantAtTheEndOfTheUniverse should be another quick & enjoyable listen

I didn’t think I’d pull it off! Today I just completed “1 Month, non nonessential spending”! Ironically the month was full of 🐶, 🏥, & 🛒 $$ so my monthly spending sheet doesn't really reflect what I THOUGHT would be less spending, but it is 100% essentials only! #2026BingoCard

📚💙 #Dracula 🧛🏻‍♂️ 7.5/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really good. I'd say romance/detective + a splash of gothic horror. "There are darknesses in life, and there are lights. You [Mina] are one of the lights" (p. 135). #ChosenOnes #Reread Cleansing the pallet with a reread from my favorite female author.

Gigi Shumate, Boston Terrier, beloved dog to Grandma Nonna, cricket the rainbow bridge today at 14:50

Gigi

As the wind blows and the chimes make music
I watch her wander and turn.
And turn and turn
In the yard.

She doesn't hear much now,
and her eyes don't catch what they used to, But her nose is strong as ever, and her love for food never wavers.

She walks and walks
brushing past corners
As she finds her way
in her own time.

I watch her circle
perhaps searching for the porch she knows well.
We trust that she remembers it,
that some things stay steady
even as others fade.

She isn't quite what she once was,
we know.
But she is still guided by her nose.
Still comforted by familiar scents.
Still here, still cared for.
until the day she crosses the rainbow bridge.
