Finished reading The Monk by Matthew Lewis — one of the granddaddies of gothic fiction, still pretty excessive in its morbidity, pretty fun read if you don't mind long melodramatic speeches, has one of the best endings to a horror novel I've read recently

Cat Named Mojave (Stargazers Studios, 2025), wonderful short horror game I played the other day, features creepy animal people, serial killers and a weird cult. Some rare daytime horror an age where 95% of games achieve spookiness thru darkness and obscurity. Highly recommended if you love cats

Finally watched Camp Miasma and was kind of disappointed. Flattening down horror movies to junk food and porn isn't all that interesting a take on the genre imo. Granted if someone made a movie like this based around my own fetishes and guilty media pleasures I'd be ecstatic so I get the appeal
