He/him. Not that interesting. I’m trying enjoy people being passionate even if it’s not my thing as a way of self improvement. I don’t run very well. [bridged from mstdn.games/@MacBalance on the fediverse by fed.brid.gy ]

@lexfri Mini #792 of the otherwise delightful lex.games is apparently broken.

Screenshot from lex.games Mini #792 failing to show a grid. It crashed the app the first time I tried it.

@botanistcool.bsky.social Thank you for the kind words. I enjoy painting, but don’t consider myself even “display quality” but I do try! I do some work for Dream Pod 9 (the publisher of #heavygear) but it’s keeping their web presence up, not painting or design.

A selection of Heavy Gear Miniatures, from left to right : Acco, Maru, Zikru, Hunter, Jaguar

@botanistcool.bsky.social Here’s something yellow back: two Peregrine VTOLs from #heavygearblitz in yellow. They’re from the Liberati subfaction of Caprice, which is basically cyberpunk anti-corporate types. My entire army is black and yellow, and it’s been tough […] [Original post on mstdn.games]

Home made pizza tonight. Few odd issues: it stuck to the peel, and a meatball bounced off… but still good.

Homemade, kinda oddly shaped pizza covered in sliced meatballs.

This screenshot from my podcast application ( #overcast) seem strangely appropriate to discourse and humerous news shows of 2025.

Screenshot of the Overcast iOS podcast application showing an episode of The Bugle titled “This Episode is TR*mp Free!” Which was, sadly, not found.

Wow. I’m somehow surprised that #pixelmatorpro is one of the few apps I use semi-regularly that is in Squircle Jail. It is,a flyer wall, owned by #apple.

Icon for application PixelMator Pro on macOS 26. It shows an icon of a white rounded rectangle with some pain splotches and a brush overlaying them. Due to not being updated for this OS and not following certain guidelines, it is in a grey-background ‘squircle’

@AnnaAnthro Here’s a page I found. I think it was posted but only on FB and Twitter.

Image of a post on social media from the Maryland Office of Preparedness and Response featuring an image of a Watch vs. Warning. Watch is crabmeat, mayonnaise, lemon, old bay, and other ingredients while the Warning is completed crab cakes.

I know #reaperminiatures paints aren’t the highest rated band, but I’ve always had good luck with them. Until recently when I ordered a bottle of Brilliant Blue from a 3rd party to replace an empty bottle. It was much darker than expected. I mixed it like crazy […] [Original post on mstdn.games]

Two tiny bottles of paint displayed bottom-first to show the color difference. The left one is the miscolored bottle, while the right is hopefully correct. Left is significantly darker than right,
Both are held in a vise to ease display. Background is a cutting mat on a table with some other hobby detritus.

Finished some minis this weekend. Doing some random characters as I’ve been painting army stuff for #heavygearblitz mostly.

Four painted miniatures. A purple-robed sorcerer inspired by Magus from the SNES game Chrono Trigger, a hippo knight, something resembling Robo from Chrono Trigger, and a Cactus-man character from the Rumbleslam game.

With everything going on in the world, I’d like to mention the last thing that really brought me lasting joy I bought from Amazon was my snail soap dispenser.

Plastic soap dispenser on the edge of a sink that resembles a snail. Press down on the shell and soap comes out of its head.

Got this little guy finished over the weekend, #miniaturepainting

Painted miniature of a wizard inspired by Vivi from Final Fantasy IX. Blue coat, yellow pointed cap, brown gloves. Notably he has the shadowed face and yellow eyes of the game character.

Boingboing.com is a great example of why #adblocking is required for normal use. I use pretty minimal but it trips their block detection, so disabled it to see and, well… Banners on top and bottom. An overlay video. I’ve had a half-assed idea that the web […] [Original post on mstdn.games]

My last painting for 2024: a Gear Transport for #heavygearblitz and a piece of 28mm scatter terrain.

Painted miniatures. One is a large 8 wheeled transport vehicle while the other is a DOOM-like trip of sci-fi barrels.
