I had the honor of working on this Arcane Warwick skin in #2XKO! I was responsible for modeling, texturing, shading and some of the new design It’s been cool to see so many of you using it 😌 #2xko_warwick

If you’re an indie developer or work on any team. Please take a moment to listen to these incredibly motivating words by @samlakewrites.bsky.social I will keep this here as a reminder to myself to keep going. Thanks Sam 🙏

One of my friends came over yesterday to check out the game and saw my MiniDisc player on my desk and was just like. Fuck you’re old 😂 I use it to listen to my old minidiscs 😭 physical media forever 🗣️

Being able to vent to someone about this stuff or even show little wins is so important. Working in a vacuum as a solo dev can be really tough on our mental health. It’s important for us to have someone to talk to about the game and I’m glad someone clearly recognizes that. #indiedev #solodev

I was talking to a friend recently about how many amazing games flew under the radar in the US because of terrible box art and even different names. Great example. Same game in both pictures 💀

Is there any tight knit Illuminati discord for ue5 devs making action games? I need a place to vent, share updates, get help, help others, tell me my ideas are bad, etc. #indiedev #gamedev #ue5

Somewhere in the universe there’s a person who saw Crash Bandicoot for the first time and said, “Oh damn, this is just like M&M’s: Shell Shocked for PS1!”

Seeing monolith go is the hardest. They just knew how to make amazing games. Condemned was the only reason I saved money so I could to prepare for the Xbox 360 launch and play that game. It’s still one of my favorite series. RIP Monoloth 😞

I would try and get UE5 to work well with your project first though. Try all those settings like disabling lumen, nanite, maybe try forward rendering etc and then set your engine scalability settings to something lower

I’m very proud of the optimization pass on enemies that were tanking performance on my game. I locked in and removed all the bullshit that tutorials taught me was ok (years ago when I started) and set up systems the right way. 1.5gb down to 181mb 🔥 @outlawheartgame.bsky.social runs incredible now
