It's been 4 months since the last update. I've included new terminals monstar, shitty / pretty + termy. Rio is now the highest rated Rust based terminal. monstar is a new libghostty based terminal written in Zig by @rockorager.dev and it is amazing

Updated ucs-detect table. Ghostty which now supports unicode 17 (github.com/ghostty-org/...) and has pulled away from the pack. There is an issue with Kitty where image support is not being detected. Zutty and st so far down on the table I've omitted from the screenshot

I build a bunch of Rust stuff from source and was manually updating `rust-version` in Cargo.toml Good opportunity to use plan mode in Claude Code to build a Zig tool that traverses a folder and updates. Fast and even has a `--dry-run` flag. Fun #claudecode

Trying to work out if referring to Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Factory Droid, OpenCode, AmpCode as "harnesses" is going to confuse a somewhat technical, but more senior exec audience. I think it'll confuse them & am leaning towards "coding agent". Paging @simonwillison.net

Noticed the cgroup initialization wasn't working on Ghostty for Linux since the move to Zig 0.15.1. Jumped on Discord, Mitchell provided a tip on where to look, Claude Code had a go and fixed it and a senior maintainer reviewed and PR created. Nice
