See - this is the kind of image I had in mind when I suggested you go to the habor :) Very nice! It almost looks like the masts are skyscrapers (from the distant future).

#illustration #picturebook #lifeinloops #digitalart Somehow I am becoming more and more obsessed with painting. Originally, I just wanted to create a comic, but I'm learning so much. Newfound ambition, I guess ;) trivia: Gabriel on Iceland, A.D. 2049

Gabriel walks on a wooden path in Iceland that passes by datacenters shaped like white cubes scattered across the landscape. a fleet of red drones passes by ignoring him completely. He's not important to them.

This is the value (or black+white version of the image to show it is "readable". Life in Loops is my passion project and since I spend a massive amount of time on painting now, I am considering making it into a picture book. I wrote full two seasons to prove to myself the concept works.

#illustration #artist #digital #teaser #lil trivia: Margritte, Greenland. Home of the postwar government. Ruled by a council that passes legislation drafted by the artificial intelligence on Iceland. Massive structures stretch underneath the tiny houses and shelter an EMP-device - just in case.

Margritte, a fictional village in Greenland that houses a postwar government. Lots of small houses stretch on green pasture while a VTOL craft is taking off from a helipad. Sculptures of Margritte icons (pipe, hat, moustache, apple) are scattered around and obscure the airvents of the massive bunkers below the village. (from: life in loops)

#wip #illustration #bunker #digitalart #teaser Just a sneak at my next location: Hollow Mountain got hit by missiles, which shaved off the mountaintop, but the base survived and its bunker remains intact. I'm painting the main locations from my series "life in loops". There is lots to do :)

The entrance to Hollow Mountain, a Republic base, which was bombed during the Corporate Wars of 2049, but remains intact even today. The mountain is gone now, but it protected the bunker below when the missiles dropped. (location from my story: Life in Loops / lil )

#moonbase #illustration #digital #painting #immortality #scifi trivia: fallback location for Zorn's immortality project "loop". Moonbase Sombra is populated entirely by Vigo Zorn clones. Each of them is anxious to prove their individuality, because the consequence of imitation is: "taking a walk".

Moonbase Sombra is one of the unique locations from my story "Life in Loops". LiL is a story about the consequences of immortality, seen from the perspective of Foster, one of its involuntary participants.

Foster, my MC, inside of Loopertown an area of Betelburgh that was previously off-limit for his class. Foster is a BLUE (=worker), but after an accident he discovers he also has a HALO-Interface, which slowly and unrealiably starts to work, showing him both sides of his reality.

#WIP #illustration #digital #painting #Cyberocracy I thought you might enjoy a WIP of my workspace (in CSP). When I do this stuff I use lots of photo reference, but I also have very detailed lineart from making the graphic novel. So I can basically go nuts now :) (image: life in loops, VN)

Life in Loops is what I call a "Cyberocracy", because the rules are opressive to the majority, while those who are "inside" the Loop are completely free and privileged. Betelburg is a city of technological apartheid and I show the low life of the workers in this image with a thousand signs and a truck driving to work. Work in Progress.

#motivational #illustrator #visualnovel #trailer In this scene CHAR was painted by two kids, who found a box of sharpies. I used to treat the visual novel like the comic, racing from image to image, while I should have taken great care with every image. Always believe you 2 can find a way + go 4 it!

The robot CHAR is sitting on a wheel at the side of the road. He is tagged with child drawings all over. CHAR is a maintenance robot, but in Life in Loops he contains a human consciousness - and a secret.

I'm gonna redo the ship today, because it looks flat and sticks out more than I want it to. *** Do you think I should create an "illustrated screenplay"? It wouldn't be a storyboard, because sb shows action whereas I'll just show story beats and text fragments.

#art #digital #illustration #teaser #movie #series I spent the last three years obsessively painting and writing, because I wrote Life in Loops (lil). And these paintings are my attempt at visualizing it. Yet, I wish I could do better. It's a beautiful story.

A ship climbs a monsterwave, lightning strikes in the background and it is raining. The ship is trapped in the wave alongside a herd of wales.
